This is why I turned off Disarm Bomb in T-Hunt matchmaking. I don't mind disarm bomb normally, but having to do Article 5 every time I queue for T-Hunt, even Hard or Realistic, gets annoying fast (and keeping disarm bomb on but Bartlett off doesn't prevent you from getting it).

It's them throwing around ideas they think would make a good character, and limited testing to see how it'd effect the game. I guess they wanted a second SMG Secondary attacker , a 3-speed shotgun attacker, and an alternative to Thermite, and for some reason didn't realize all this on one character elevates them from "useful" to a "must pick."
It takes them forever to properly balance things (BB shield, C4, SMG11 ACOG, currently Glaz's thermal scope), so it looks like the developers probably only test against each other and limited (NDA'd) invites to pro-level players. It doesn't help that they're constantly nerfing every aspect of Thermite, making the alternative for her breaching role less and less attractive.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy him. He's pretty easy to counter on account that you can see and destroy his shield before he's fully peeking around a corner and pretty much telegraphs any peek he tries on you. Also, his guns are sorta bad. I personally enjoy his DMR the most, but even then you only get 3 mags so wall spraying/banging is costly. Pre-nerf, he was a god, but now he's just sort of average and even bad in the hands of someone who doesn't now how to use him.

I can't blame them. I love this game and want to defend it but I can't. The problems with Siege are just stacking up and they can't make anything worthwhile happen even after delaying an entire season to fix it. I could forgive the technical shortcomings if the core game was properly balanced but they can't even do that right. I have almost no hope of Ubisoft actually fixing anything major which is really sad because this is the only worthwhile game they've made in fucking years. I don't think Siege will die but it could have been so much bigger and better if Ubisoft simply didn't have their head up their ass funneling money into garbage like The Division, Wildlands, and Asscreed #37 instead of the one game that actually has longevity.

I'm trying to understand if it's because solo queue is truly shit or I'm still in need of improvement, like I didn't think I need to ace or kill several people in each match to even think of winning, one would think your teammates would actually be useful in a way or another, we aren't talking about copper queue afterall.

Indeed. Going into terrorist hunt might help you learn maps while gaining renown, and you can practice things like testing out different attachments and recoil control, but beyond the early level it start teaching you bad habits for PvP. Bots flinch when you shoot them, just sit around instead of actively defending, they just stream in a straight line when you have to defend the objective, they mostly just stand still and shoot instead of peaking, etc.

At a certain point, you're going to have to cut your teeth and (at least) play Casual to get better. Don't obsess over what you did wrong when you die & lose, but instead look at what your opponents did right.

Yeah, I played too much terrorist hunt when I first started before ever playing casual. Biggest mistake tbȟ. The gameplay differences between PvE and PvP are night and day. It's a meme by anons here telling new players to play a ton of terrorist hunt before stepping into multiplayer. I say 3 star all situations, play terrorist hunt until getting all or most of the base operators, and then get into casual as soon as possible.

The way Ubisoft built the networking code for Siege, you have to play like what you see of a person is actually their after image. This is the key problem with Siege. Their "premium" shit is too premiumly priced. Why am I going to spend like, 5 dollars on a character head? Especially if I didn't buy a season pass for a year for, what, 30 dollars, where I get all DLC characters for free plus extra renown or a discount or whatever... and since I don't have to buy DLC characters I have renown to buy cosmetics.

It just seems like a really poor strategy... Like, hey, lets target the people with disposable income... But those people probably already bought the season pass and thus have in game money to buy this thing and won't spend 5 dollars.

How do you guys feel about monty?

I personally prefer Blitz, but it feels like monty being immune to most damage from the front really encourages a passive playstyle.

I've found most monty players I've ended up with outrun their support and then just stand there as they get surrounded and taken apart.
