We know that wow has been losing large numbers of subscribers and to reinvigorate their subscriber numbers I think their development plan is now working towards making wow available on consoles.

A few development choices indicate that the game is moving in this direction.

- more ability pruning resulting in less buttons to press
- weapon customisation
- weapon skin customisation
- homogenisation of classes
- pvp centric talents

These are just some things which take the game on a dumbed down path to make it portable to console platform.

PC gamers will probably be given 'pristine/legacy' servers at this time to stop the mass exodus as Blizzard ramp up their new market.

Blizzard will capitalise on the launch of the wow movie to spearhead this new audience.

The way legion is taking the game I wouldnt be suprised if wow was getting launched on console towards the end of this year.
