I guess the ones that are locked are the busy busy servers, but in general I don't think aether servers aside from balmung or gilgamesh are all that big, most the chaos servers have evenly distributed populations with leviathan being an example of a good busy server?

I didn't even look at the list of primal closed servers though

honestly you can level so fast with the bonus atm, maybe just make another char I'm not entirely sure

Making a new character is fine, playing DD as a first job is dumb, plain and simple. You won't have fun, at all, unless you find a tank friend or someone in your FC to queue with you as tank.

If it had been an old school MMO such as FFXI I'd have said the opposite as the whole community and social element was central but nowadays, there is little to no social atmosphere in MMOs and people don't care about others.

Other than that, the exp bonus will last as long as SE thinks it should last, I think it's safe to say that it'll stay on for 1/2 big patch at the very least.
I don't understand why you'd worry about being "late" on Stormblood story, there is no loss in that.

Are the quests for Aether Currents like HW where they require no side-quest prereqs and just branch off the MSQ? I'm overleveled from PVP'ing while Raubahn was gatekeeping so I don't wanna do sidequests that have piddly EXP and won't chain into Aether Current stuff.

Went with Lancer as my first character, now around level 25 and wondering if I'm doing something wrong with the class because been doing dungeons lately and for some reason my damage is literally whittling the mobs down while other party members are taking out chunks of HP at a time. Try to keep your gear up to date as possible, the most important part being your weapon. Other then that, Not too sure but you should be doing alright.
Also don't forget people might be level synced in the dungeons so their gear is basically maxed out for said level.

It's a long story, I'm French but I've never played with French people, I've been playing with mostly NA/EU (non French) people since I picked up FFXI back in 2004.

All in all, I do miss playing on NA servers and I do miss the /ffxivg/ I used to play with there.

I've been tempted to move to Omega but a few things are holding me back (server activity, availability of items, prices of certain things, I still haven't heard anything about the queue times right now and a few other things).

I used to be a GM, so I used to play on the SE employee servers, with other SE employees. Most of them were either banned or left, and the few that are still active are either French and stupid or NA GMs who are equally retarded, so I can't possibly play with either.

Keeping Heavy Thrust up is always a good thing. Are you using True Thrust/Vorpal Thrust as well? That's a fantastic rotation to pair with Life Surge once you get Full Thrust at level 28.

Okay, the thing about Vorpal Thrust is that you get more mileage out of it if you open with True Thrust. Certain skills work like that - you use one skill first, it powers up the second. Paying attention to that sort of thing is going to help you a lot. To give you a very simplified summary, in your case, use True Thrust first, then you get a better Vorpal Thrust if you use it right after.

At the moment, there's no way to really tell damage output for classes since not enough people are 70 and even if they were: parse isn't working yet.
Regardless, their potencies seem like ass (keep in mind Black Mage's potencies are actually +89% of the displayed value due to Enochian+Astral), and I highly doubt RDM's AoE raid buff is gonna make up that difference.

You get the damage bonus as a trait, mug/jug just got set to a single bonus text line, and a Stun got added as a cross class role action if you need it. Every class had their action list pruned/condensed basically.
