How should I be playing Ragnaros? I go meteor build for everything but minion maps (Shrines, Golems, Garden) and for those I put into the Hammer. I do stun ult on two lane maps and lava on 3 lane. Also go for better D still at level 20.

why even care? Hero League is such garbage with the match making and luck can effect you more than anything else. It's a fun game and I love it but it has serious issues to truly be "competitive" I mean hell, you can fuck up just right late game where in less than a minute you can give the badly losing enemy team: 2+ lvl adjustment, 60 seconds free on the map to get camps and eat a lane (and if obj is up that is very possible) and camps. That kind of swing in power play is awful and shows how weak the design is for it.

Stealthily, the wild Azmodan and Sergeant Hammer hide in the bushes. Only pesky diminutive heroes can pick up on their plans, usually other Azmos or Hammers. They will usually duel. Been playing Varian in QM. I'm not very good.

What I've been doing is:

Take Quest at level 1
Then super-parry, then the heal on hit, Then Fury.
Mortal Strike at 13 (Shattering Throw if the other side has shield-users)
Armor banner
Frenzy

In a good game I feel mostly useless until 10, we often get down a level, and then once the talents start stacking up he gets ridiculous, like winning 1v3s, then powering through the other team once I've got the post-Fury talents and the quest done.

Should I be doing something else? (short of swapping out of Fury depending on matchup, but I'm not as good with the Taunt build, and Fury just seems better than Colossus Smash)

Pre-10 I follow other players since 90% of solo fights end up with me parrying and running back to a wall since I don't have the damage or sustain to finish much. I tend to hit a lot of merc camps post-10 because I seem to be better at not stupidly dying than the typical QM shitter and as such end up with more solo time than I'd like.

Leo has always been decent.
The issue is knowing when to draft him and when to avoid him, because he's not a tank.
He is capable of solo-laning if not dual-laning based on the map better than most of the cast though, as he clears a wave in about 3-5 seconds with his PvE build.
He is capable of fucking people if he goes hard into his W build too, but that build doesn't really come online until 13 and doesn't get good until 16.

Four is typically a flex talent based on where you'll be getting most of your healing from. Fealty on maps like spiders, Willing on two-lane maps, Hardened against deletion comps and heavy root comps. Royal focus is almost only for PvE.

Step 1: Get good with his abilities. Landing W gets you free kills. Landing Q is crucial too. Alt-W shoves yourself in the direction you're facing, handy shortcut. Quickcast is a must on W.
Step 2: If you have low FPS, turn down your graphics. Seriously. You have to be quick on the draw.
Step 3: Chill the fuck out. The instant you panic, you lose.
Step 4: Don't fucking die. It's not game over if you do but it's a lot easier to win if you don't. Position defensively most of the time but also be ready for an aggressive W pull. This changes with comp, obviously, but look to pull enemies without escape skills especially.
Step 5: Good safe talent build is 1-1-3-CS-3-3-3. Most rigid parts of his build are 4, 13, and 16. Chaos Reigns, Rite of Rak'Shir, and Mocking Strikes are way too good to pass up. 20 varies a ton, 7 is whatever you want (I prefer Applied Force because initiation range + escape distance), and 1 is comp-dependent and "don't pick Ruthless Momentum, it's fucking garbage".

So I went into Draft for the first time as the Vikings, my first real out of vs ai experience.

As you can see by the level difference on the bottom, I did well. Though our Uther got a bit snippy at me for not taking the Terror and letting it wilt, but I was to focused on soaking to get to it. Plus I felt it would be detrimental to focus on protecting to Vikings in Lane while I pushed as another Viking, and what would happen if they died and then my third Viking died?

Stitches was a brosef and took on the role of grabbing the Terror. I just did my job of soaking, fighting Minions, and occasionally grabbing Camps.

tl:dr, My first Viking outing was a success! I can't believe I used to think of them as a meme pick.

God damn I just keep losing with Gazlowe and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I push my lane then roam around the map once I hit 10 clearing camps and I help with the objective if it requires me to do so. I tend to end up with the highest siege AND hero damage somehow and for some reason the enemy team camps me all fucking day long and focuses my turrets even though that never happens when I play against a Gazlowe...
