It's horrifying. Lost our utility. Hypercharge got super nerfed. So badly that they should have reduced its cooldown for it to be more in line with 60 second wildfires. Aoe also got super fucked. Managing your heat gauge would be a cool concept but the payoff doesn't feel that neat. On top of that you have to maximize every single minute wildfire or suffer a pretty big dps loss. Dropping a combo is a big dps loss. Overheating is a big dps loss.

I won't say I don't look forward to getting better at the class because I am. But the payoff feels weaker with your weaker wildfires and general lost of big single ability burst (in the form of wildfire). This might be due to unfamiliarity, but I'm pretty sure the skill floor for this class has gone up instead of down.

Accelerate > Jolt > Whichever one you like more > Quickcast whatever that one combos into > Jolt > The other one you didn't use.

Then if you proc, cast that, then chaincast into whatever resource is lower. If it doesn't proc, I just cast Jolt again then the spell that corresponds to whatever resource is lower.

Weave in Fleche when it's up.

Then just do your melee dash > melee combo > jump back

Rinse and repeat

I would like to get it on Steam, but I was told of the existence of a Complete Edition that comes with the base game, Heavensward and Stormblood, and it would be nice to get it all together to save some money.
