after i installed i had an issue where i couldnt launch any applications at all when my memory card was inserted. cause for that is unknown but i suspect it may be related to some plugins. anyway it works 100%, but the only way i found to fix the problem i had was to format my memory card, however i seem to be the only one who has had this issue

I got the version of hacked 3ds from 2016. With emuannd and sysnand stuff.
So i updated emunand in april and it gets a blackscreen.
An anon told me to replace some boot files from the newer Luma but it didn't work. I'm also using menu hax with ctrmanager. Homebrew channel aldo gives a black screen. And I can't even use my R4 in sysnand.

I looked it up in gbatemp and it said that the best option was to change to boot9strap but I'm lost.

I don't want my system to brick. I was lucky in 2016. And what will happen to my emunand stuff and games saves?

Should i upgrade to boot9strap? Is it safe? Where exactly do I start? My sysnand is downgraded to 9.2.

I have FBI, Freeshop running and got all my keys from the OP site. I now come forth with two questions:

1) I'm sure I'll be banned, even with telemetry off. But on GBAtemp someone posted saying that despite the ban is server side and only affect online activities but NOT eShop surprisingly. Does this mean that banned consoles still can get the freeShop working?

2) Assuming that the freeShop is compromised in an eventual ban: how is the best way to run cias/isos/whatever roms downloaded from the internet? There is a need for a special application? I have no idea how this works.

PS: I downloaded and am currently playing Fire Emblem Awakening. Recommend me other of the best 3ds games pls

nah, it's mostly died off. i have a suspicion a large part of the "scene" are moralfags who didn't want to admit to freeshop usage, especially after people went around boasting it was "undetectable." for ages.i'd imagine it was the most used homebrew app in the scene; seems like an easy target. nintendo's ban error code page includes "unauthorized access to Nintendo's servers" as one of the reasons for the bans, and the majority of that is almost certainly going to be freeshop. eshop collects title data too so anyone who did both probably sealed their fate.

iirc the ban only affects friends list and online play, so yes you can still access both eshop + freeshop with that particular ban. Nintendo has put out NNID bans (which barred eshop) but not recently. if you're super paranoid about telemetry you can inject your desired online homebrew into AR Games using the unofficial godmode9 build (1.2.2~ i believe.)

Followed the guide for the 3ds to get a9lh, everything is running smoothly, but I'm wanting to upgrade to a bigger sd card. How do I go about that? I had another 2ds cfw'd and the method to do so was to simply copy and paste the important files, I've tried that but it doesn't seem to work as it had before? or am I missing something?

Haven't played since last year, trying to set up my DS to do injections again but running into an issue. I'm following the guide in https://pastebin.com/Ps6EEPx6 and have placed the file 0004000000175e00.bin into a folder named /luma/code_sections. I have not renamed this file and I have deleted my previous code.bin that was stored in /luma/titles/0004000000175E00. The game starts, but injection via both the ingame scanner and the web browser QR scanner doesn't work. Attempting to use the home button -> qr scan yields the error 'The internet browser will become available once you update your system via the internet', yet I've attempted to update multiple times with no results.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, and I need to do this somewhat urgently.

Any help appreciated.
