Chapter 1: "It's time to stop"

"Seren and I are the opposite poles of light and dark. And like the opposing poles of a magnet we are drawn to one another. I yearn for her even as she is now. If she was restored in my presence then neither of us would be able to control ourselves. That is why you must complete her soul. And you must never tell her I was involved in this." -Zaros, The Light Within

Zaros sat in his sanctum, in the depths of Freneskae, deep in thought. Recently, he had helped the World Guardian reform his sister, Seren, the crystalline goddes of the Elves... The very same World Guardian that had freed him from his Freneskaen prison. He thought back to that time, not incredibly long ago: his loyal servant, Azzanadra, had commisioned the World Guardian to finally bring Zaros back, now that Guthix, the god that had cast him out, had died at the hands of Sliske. The World Guardian had been very helpful: creating him a fully functional Divine Simulacrum, which allowed him to assume his original form. Well... Almost his original form. For a reason unknown to him, when the World Guardian created the Dark Simulacrum, she had somehow imbued some of her own energy into it, making Zaros more... human-like. His body still worked as a phenomenal vessel for him, but he felt more human than he had before. Zaros started having thoughts that he never had in his previous godly form. More importantly, he had apparently taken on the form of a human male, although still maintaining his pitch-black skin and purple features. A sense of regret washed over Zaros as he thought back to when he told the World Guardian his feelings about Seren: He hadn't directly told her, but she was smart enough that she would figure it out soon, if she hadn't already. He started to feel tired: another side effect of this new body of his. Sitting in his throne, he drifted off into a deep sleep.

A feminine voice jolted her from her thoughts. She looked up from her throne, and smiled at the familiar face. "World Guardian, a pleasure as always. What brings you here to me?" The World Guardian sprawled herself on the ground, groaning. "Ugh... Man, I'm tired as fuck. And for the last time, just call me Sylvia." Seren chuckled softly. "Alright, Sylvia. What brings you to me?" She said, smiling at Sylvia's casuality. "Ah, nothing much. Just chillin'. Got to do a bunch of mining today, and a little bit of smithing too." Sylvia cocked her head towards Seren. "What've you been up to up here?" Seren was very slightly shocked by the question. "Uhm..." Her gaze fell. She didn't exactly know how to answer. Sylvia drew a worried expression. "Seren? Are you okay?" Seren's eyes widened. "Ah! Y-yes, I'm okay..." She said, a little too quickly. Immediately standing up, Sylvia walked over to her, and put an arm on the goddess' shoulder. "Seren." The goddess slowly looked up. "You can trust me."

But what do you mean by 'more human'? Mentally or... Physically?" Seren glanced over at Sylvia, an inquisitive look on her face. "What do you mean by physically?" Sylvia groaned and facepalmed. She had expected Seren to know what she meant. "For fuck's sake... Do ya have a pussy?" she said, clearly forgetting that she was talking to a god. Seren still appeared to not understand. "Um, what is a 'pussy'?" Sylvia looked Seren dead in the eye, seeing no sign of feigning ignorance. "Okay... Stand up." she said as she walked towards Seren's throne.
