Getting back into CSGO.

I love the new scoutzknivez (whatever they call it now) and the shipped map is nice. Everything else is COD related shit. Also they really need new armsrace maps. The 5 or 6 default ones are getting old and I only play that for XP.

Alright thanks fellas. I read the git gud guide and it def seems like they switched a few things up.

I was playing the game with my old 1.6/CSS knowledge but it doesn't apply anymore. Deagle is nerfed, I learned that on my own. Recoil seems to have decreased but the spread is more unpredictable.

Also what's the deal with the peaking around corners? The attacker has the advantage? The defender won't see the attacker before the attacker sees the defender first? Is that lag or what? I did notice that I was being spotted and engaged by the rusher before I had a chance to open fire.

Anything else I should keep in mind? I got shutter step, peaking corners and lanes down. Is comp filled with tryhards or does the skill ranks work well enough?

download some linux cheats (not detectable even in theory as vac does not exist on linux) and use them to supplement your aim and gamesense until you can sustain it on your own

esp (wallhacks) helps a lot to understand where enemies will be and how to preaim areas (since you know where to preaim) and also timings etc

How the fuck am I supposed to believe anyone in valve dm is legit when I unload 20 bullets in someone at point blank range with nothing happening, and then half the fucking servers is instantly headshotting everyone, full speed around every corners. Yah the headshot boxes are pretty damn huge and Valve needs to do something about it. CSS was bad enough. In GO I believe the boxes got larger or they might have stayed the same. Getting headshots shouldn't be a skill every damn newb can get while aiming in your general direction. It's ridiculous.

The hitboxes are fine, there's nothing wrong with them. I don't have anything against the game on a fundamental level, there's nothing wrong with it. It's just that hitreg is so bad on Valve's servers I simply don't buy that anyone that's just running around getting headshots all the time is legit. If you were, you'd miss half the time because that's just how bad hitreg is on their servers. I tested it, I tried literally hugging someone and unloading and it took me 12 bullets of my m4 before the guy dropped dead (it should be 5 if all of them registered).

I've never had any problems playing on private 128 servers or on ESEA, but I simply can't justify spending money per month just to play a videogame I've already bought (not anymore anyway).

I estimate between 10%-20% of all players in Valve servers cheat. That's one cheater per comp match, and two per casual/dm. I'm not saying you get them every match, but statistically is still true.

I rarely, rarely, rarely play the "ur a hacker" card but with the amount of players getting headshots, it's quite easy to think someone in your game is hacking. But then I remember that some players have no lives and the game is purposely setup for easy headshots. It can get quite ridiculous when every other kill is a headshot. I wouldn't mind it if they sped up the movement or shrunk the headshot boxes ever so slightly. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying everyone and their mom shouldn't be getting headshots so easily especially when they aren't even aiming for them.

Look at CS at lan. You aim at people's heads and you actually kill them. Hitboxes can always be better but it's true they fixed them to an extent, they're way better now than they used to be.
It's the whole infrastructure around the servers that is shit. Literally 50% of my bullets disappear when they leave my gun. Then people download cheats that forces the server to always register a hit, and this dumbass community wonders why so many cheat. It's because online play is fucking broken in this game.
