DM is god tier through and through. the first half is all about survival and touching on the mysteries of the madre and getting introduced to the companions, all of whom are god tier, and the second half is finally unravelling all the things you wanted to know about this weird ass fucking place, and all the companions playing their hand and trying to beat you, the ace in the hole. each of their conclusions is great, no matter which you get for any of them. and dont get me started on finally getting to the vault and solving the whole damn mystery right there.

notice what's first on my list, my dude. regardless of how i feel about getting to the fucking casino after triggering the gala, i still enjoyed DM enough to put a section of it as my #1

New Vegas is the best that the "new Fallout" has to offer. It's quirky, but serious. Open world, but with quality content. The story is great and has a lot of options to explore. It's a RPG, but the combat is still pretty fun. But I'm not here to jerk NV off anymore than it already has. The best part, the singular best part of the game (And FO3, ironically) is that crafting is entirely niche and completely optional! I hate crafting in games. Sure, I appreciate they went to the trouble to add it but I fucking hate and despise the power spike good, crafted equipment gives you. Sure, making something unique like the Dart Gun and Railway Rifle can be good fun, but in Fallout 3 I enjoyed the process of finding the blueprints a lot more than actually finding the clutter and crap I actually need to craft the weapon. In later instalments, crafting is too centric to playing the game and making an effective avatar. You can easily skip this process but eventually on concecutive playthroughs I at least find myself making the most pseudo-godlike character I can, and that invariably drives me towards the hypercharged crafting system. But crafting sucks. Weapon mods suck. I hate that shit.

NV will never force you into it, and neiter will Fallout 3. Enjoy it while you can, because we can be dead fuckin' sure this crafting shit will never, ever be leaving the premises of the lovechild of good post-apocallyptica.

Oddly enough it was going better with the mods. You all convinced me to get the DLC so hopefully jsawyer ultimate will make it better?

Few hours into my second playthrough and it's quite amazing how much different and more varied being a stealth character is, the going in guns blazing did get a bit old in my last playthrough, given how restrictive and repetitive it can be, but now I can sneak around, take a few people out, plant traps etc and if I get caught there's a little shootout, there's so much more to be able to do.

What is the best weapons testing grounds in the game and why is it the Fiend's territory?

Playing with Jsawyer Ultimate and my karma says I'm the most evil motherfucker in the wasteland despite only killing people that deserve it like the Omertas and White Legs. For some reason I kept getting bad karma for killing White Legs and good AND bad karma for killing some of the Omerta guards. Seems kind of silly. Is my karma system fucked or is this how it's supposed to be? Am I a evil person for some for choosing to exterminate the White Legs for being evil, raiding pieces of garbage?

Well I was able to get a good 45 minutes out before it crashed when I ran into the guy who sets you up by telling you to clear the geckos out to save his girlfriend. When we exited the dialogue, I went into vats and it locked up. HOWEVER it seemed like it was trying to un-freeze, because it will keep going for a minute until just locking completely.
