L&D3 isn't really worth the hassle, you might as well go with Fury or Darting Blow(Preferably Fury so she can damage things better unless you're blade toming). Fury also helps with getting into range for Desperation shenanigans.

Same goes for Fury Nino avoiding more 1 shots and getting into Desperation range more easily.

Depends on which units, but for the most part yes.

If it was suboptimal it wouldn't be a "cookie cutter" build, which means new ones would show up to take its place. You should be fine as long as your units are exploiting a unit's weaker defense since the damage reduction scales based off existing defensive stats.

And yes, Fury is better than ever now that those defense tiles make tanking hits more viable.

So you have to carry a unit with miserable accuracy, might, and defenses that contributes virtually nothing around for several chapters until you can finally upgrade your shop and buy him his tome and upgrade it. He then is decent at critting, except that that's the only fucking thing he does, so a good portion of the time he's going to not crit and be fucking useless. Meanwhile, he's still blind and fragile.

Mozu, at least, is good immediately if you give her every enemy in her chapter after recruitment. Odin needs a couple of chapters before he becomes functional, and even then his crit rate might not be that good since you're still in the early game before stat inflation, and he's generally terrible when he doesn't crit.
