That's it, really. He made FNaF in a state where he doubted his own faith and was fuelled only by the bitterness of his endless failures, and all he focused in was on making the game dark and scary. He didn't expect his game to be successful, so he had no reason to think up any complex mysteries.

It's also why the first game is so effective compared to the latter ones. There was genuine regret and sadness that went into it, and just like any artist or creative type that sort of emotion makes for the best kind of fuel.

It's a reskin of Freddy, so it was probably a throw it in with no real intention.
The killer definitely wore a Freddy suit for killing at that point in the series' life, so the idea for GF might've come from that, though. Not necessarily related, just an inspiration.
Trying to tie in GF with the story of the games was really stupid, and indirectly led to FNAF 4 which was an absolute shitshow on all fronts. There's still no real hint as to why FNAF 4 happened.

Damn that was a fine new chapter. Read eight in the past two days to catch up.

I really, really like that the plotline of Mike being from another dimension didn't completely steal the story and make it a full on existential crisis universe instead. Accepting and burning the evidence felt liberating to read even if it bites Mike in the ass later. A fine example of how a universe can be built on a dreadful idea, but through the people in it and how they care for each other, raise itself back up. It's a large reason why Roommates is such a cozy read, and that decision with the grill won me over pretty hard. I liked that Faz got to share in it, one thing I admire is how split apart the cast is, Poke is good at not picking favorites to be in key scenes. It feels like no one is ever fully shafted out of a role, and with a cast of 20+ that's impressive.

Also I call it, Nisha is gonna be dead before they can interrogate her.

Community college isn't all that expensive thanks to financial aid being so easy to apply for. In my state they basically pay for everything as long as you keep your GPA over 2.0. That said, those aspects really aren't worth exploring unless central to the plot. Just saying "he's a broke student with a crappy job" is enough for anyone. It's like asking who built the Batcave or how does Jack's robe get replaced every episode. The thought might people into your head every once in a while, but it really isn't a question that needs to be answered.

Scott never addressed how awful the possession stuff is, from a psychological standpoint. I think the idea of anybody becoming company property is way worse than just dying. It puts the Puppet in a villainous light when he brings the kids back from death.
And when it's the owner's daughter, it's kind of tragic. I think that's a better idea for a horror story than whatever SL ended up being about.
