The dropship has turrets which are most likely shooting you, don't run those missions solo.
Hide in a building or a box when you see the ship and don't use +corpus damage ever, its garbage, cold+electric = magnetic which is good against shields or you can go for blast which is good against machinery

Why are people treating Cycron like a meme weapon when its recharge isn't interrupted by quick melee and it procs heat instantly? You can also get its status chance up in the 90% range.

So if you use it to hose down a group of enemies with corrosive or viral procs and stun at the same time you can slide in and murder the helpless fucks with your melee wep and its done recharging by the time you're finished.
