Well, the 'assault carbine' mod is out and I've built myself a nice Service Rifle stand in. Real nice mod, nice to finally have a proper AR rifle after so many AKs and other guns.

Though I did pick up the Handmade Rifle new animation that gives it the proper right hand charging handle with new reload anims and am delighted to find that it changes the third person animation for my other AKs to something more accurate as well.

Eh, it's not perfect, the fingers don't quite grab the charging handle because it's not the same size, but I think it's pretty good. You'd have to be really looking close to notice and I can't be bothered to try and fix it currently.

If they are the merc armors from FO3/NV, a lot of people could have them. I haven't played too much of FO4 so I don't know that many people, but maybe one of the Abernathys, the woman and/or her kid in the Diner, the guys who have a beef with her and her kid could have it too. Basically any wasteland adventurer type could have one of the merc outfits. Even random settlers could, it gets old having everyone wearing flannel shirts and overalls.

What program is that? OutfitStudio or Bodyslide (or are they the same now? I never messed with Skyrim custom bodies and don't have FO4 so never used it). Can changes with that program be compatible with FONV NIF files? Can't help you sorry, but that does look similar to when you have a bad UV map on a NIF in NV (common early body-swap error).

Any modded Companion that just makes a default character into a companion is usually good. Sydney was obviously great, but Lucy West and Briana were great for FO3, even Bittercup was decent. In NV SunnyCompanion is great, I have Melissa installed but haven't used her yet, but no reason why she wouldn't be bad. Some of the others I don't know about (like Pvt. Gilbert). Generally the more a character has default content for, the better the companion modification will be. Most pure-custom added companions are self-inserts or built up around a gimmick of some kind which might be good but arguably shaky regarding lore and world presence.

Also, using the Bleed Mod, I noticed that bleeding takes away your strength. That... fucking sucks. Like, it breaks the flow of combat. Given how finnicky and crap the combat is, it isn't like you can just snipe out of cover. Most of the time combat for me is running around like a jackass. Suddenly I get hit and I can't run anymore. Not because my legs have given out, but because I was hit and the dice fucked me.

Right now, Combat tends to work out where I desperately try to hit things, waste all my ammo against the damage threshold, and then get crippled and have to keep reloading and tossing grenades. Anything firing plasma just one-shots me if they actually hit.

Let me put it like this. If JSUE's dev actually supported TTW, I wouldn't be using VW. Because VW is hurting me. I'm just saying weapons made out of plastic are bullshit in the Fallout universe, as plastic is an extremely rare product made from a rare resource in that universe. It's also described as being devoted to specialized high-priority things. ARs themselves are fine, as I said with wooden or metal furniture there is no problem with them. Everyone chooses whether they want to be a dom or a sub, and they can change at any time.

Uniforms are like vault suits, but edited in ways to show which role an individual has selected. There would also be subtle differences to display whether the individual is in a closed relationship, open relationship, up for whatever, or would rather not be played with at the moment.

The experiment would be to see if a successful society can be sustained with all interpersonal relationships having this sort of dynamic as a starting point.

One's chosen role would not determine their job within the vault. People would choose jobs based on preference or aptitude, and one's choice of role within the vault doesn't necessarily have an influence.

The overseer would decline participation and would be a neutral party ensuring rules are followed. Laws within the vault would deal with consent, proper play, making sure everyone is happy, etc.

There would be people who are in monogamous long term relationships, swingers who move around, and everything in between. Light stuff to heavy stuff, cute to harsh, it would be a diverse population.

The issue with the Equipment module was that the last time I used it it was a mess of redundant stuff. It was weapons that were in the files but later added through DLC being added and so you'd have the same gun with identical names but no intercompatibility. No idea if that was ever fixed.

It's the proportions that are wrong. Not the shape. The shape is fine. The head is proportionally too large for her body, and since looksmenu/CBBE doesn't feature a head slider, you're gonna need to scale the body up to match the head, then adjust the actor scale to make her smaller as a whole (Select the Actor then use Setscale X, I'd suggest Setscale 0.85-0.99) . That way you're going to maintain a similar body size, but it's going to look more like a real petite, slender person, than a spooky ayy lmao. Because of the way the in game skeleton isn't scaled and you've made the "meat" of the body smaller to compensate, it's making the head and shoulders look massive and weird and other things like the hips and ribs are being thrown out and not looking like a real human skeleton is underneath. Think of the classic FNV/F3 female meshes. I'd suggest trying to enlarge her body on the skeleton framework, so that it fits the skeleton better, then adjust the size of the skeleton down. Do you follow what I'm getting at? I'm not sure I'm explaining it too well.
Check out some drawing diagrams, the majority of human beings fall into a very narrow proportional range that we perceive to be large difference because of how our brains are wired. That's why when you initially make changes to the larger, you're going to think you've gone way too far. Make the change, look at some other stuff, then look back and you'll get a better idea.

I've noticed Rust Devil spawning a lot, but it was extra bad tonight.

Also desu for the past several months I've just been testing and making mods. I'm getting fairly close to concluding the Plasma caster now. Once I get the textures done, it'll be making a few legendary variants, shop, and adding the Gammaclaw encounter somewhere for the Easter egg version. Then quick beta testing, then on to Nexus and Bethnet (Xb1) it goes.

This is the only mod I've ever made where I feel fairly confident that I'll make it to hot files. Before someone makes another slutty outfit and it gets bumped off. Knowing the Avenger's reception, I got like 4-5 videos showcasing it. THIS is waaaaaaaaay more vast and ambitious than that by miles, so only time will tell.

Its the default material now. I've got some cosmetic receivers that simply change the ammo loaded to Fusion cores (to go with the fusion loading capacitor if you want it to be realistic), and I guess I could make those use different textures, but that would double the size of the files.

I'm still going through the textures and generally polishing things up, but this is how I always envisioned the final product: Shiny chrome, just like the plasma guns in FO4.

I don't advertise my mods much.

Some modders post their mods on a bunch of social media sites, youtube, Reddit, etc to get the maximum amount of coverage. I don't really bother with that. Also the banner pic is an Eagle, so most people skimming probably don't even pay attention to what it really is. I toned down the chrome a little, had to do a few tries before I got it looking how I wanted. Now it mostly matches all the different barrels, and isn't "MY EYES" level of shine. What kind of ideas does /fog/ have for enemies that could be modded into the game or future games?

I'm not sure how or if it would make any sense, but I had this idea for 'Stealth Feral Ghouls'. I'm not entirely sure how it would work in-universe.

My current idea is that they're an extremely rare, former U.S. (or chinese) special operations who became glowing ones. As their stealth tech ended up fused to their body, their own radiation ended up continuing to fuel their stealth systems.

Unlike most ferals, they do show a limited sign of 'tactics' as they wait for non-ghouls to get within a fairly short distance before lunging

Possible limits to their stealth include:
>their radiation emission, while weaker, ends up expanding over a wider field than most. So inexplicable radiation ticks can be a sign one is nearby
>Naturally, their stealth temporarily shorts out and their glowing, irradiated bodyparts flare intensely as just the moment before they attack (justified as residual adrenaline/fight or flight responses and escalated heart rate overloading their stealth systems and increasing rad concentration

I also imagine that you would never encounter more than one of these in a ghoul-heavy area. As a side effect of their small 'aggro' radius, it means entire herds of feral ghouls will charge and chase wasteland survivors leaving the Stealth Ghoul as the only one left, still waiting for the perfect chance to attack their prey.

Or maybe their aging stealth systems have diminished their senses too.

You can go even further with that thought string. Where either a desperate advance in stealth tech by the Chinese or Americans resulted in some full Philadelphia Experiment/Event Horizon shit.

Could manifest in a few ways. Apparent teleportation. Displacer ghouls. Perfect stealth. Ambush and stalking AI where they don't outright attack you to the death.

fair point, my initial idea had been just 'invisible ghouls', but I thought such a thing might be a little unfair since most stealth enemies usually have some ranged weapon with a beam or muzzle flash to track them by.

But maybe I'm just overblowing the effectiveness of stealth in melee since there is the directional damage indicator and stealthed characters tend to have that 'ripple' that's easily seen up close.

Trying to get the AK74M weapon to use the new third person reload from the right handed handmade rifle mod. It did it automatically for the AKM Project guns but not for the AK74M one.

Basically completely fucked my game over and took me the better part of a week fussing with it until I gave up and had to start a new character just to make the game work. Never again.

Generally not a fan of overambitious overhaul mods, they never work right with other mod content and I generally like the game more or less as is, with a couple tweaks.

Not sure what you're smoking but PN isn't overambitious at all. It pretty much avoids touching or editing anything in the base game for maximum compatibility

Even then most of the mod is modular and can be disabled entirely in MCM, and it takes a couple of minutes in FNVEdit to get rid of weapons or things in the leveled lists you don't like

A lot of the classic Fallout shit was fucking stupid if you factor in Tactics and BoS. But that's neither here nor there. The issue with PN is that it clutters everything up. There were already enough weapons in NV. And then with TTW it's FO3 + NV's weapon pool. PN already cannibalized FO3's weapon pool (which may count as a violation of Nexus's policy warranting it be removed, but good luck with that), and doubling onto that certain weapons were added in via NV's DLC that PN added in as well.

The Equipment module is messy as fuck, and the Cyberware module is immersion annihilating.

Still not sure what caused it, it was still pretty early in my experience with mods. Don't even remember what it was exactly only that it broke basically everything and rendered the game unplayable. Text was overlaid on each other, mechanics didn't work right. Just got tired of trying to fix it.

Suppose I'm more talking about things like Modern Firearms or the upcoming WARS mod that have some really nice looking content in them, but seek to completely overhaul the game's combat from the ground up and implement tons of new mechanics while also getting rid of older ones.

I've barely touched badout 4 and don't know what much of the current modding scene is like, but I'm sure you can always just see for yourself in FO4Edit. There you can check for your own personal load order if the conflicts bork anything or simply remove them if it's not worth it.

I too hate it when too much stupid shit that comes along as a package. Example would be me just wanting the hitmarkers from the lazarus project but the mod author is a faggot and won't release it standalone.

The point is you shouldn't just brush those mods off entirely, when you have the means to make it work right, with just a bit of effort.

Depends on your definition of modder.
I tweak things in CK, make my own texture edits and sometimes mash things up or make conversions in OS/Blender. I've released a mod with 12k+ downloads.

I guess you could call me a Modder, 3d Modeller and Texture artist. I wouldn't. It all depends on where you draw the line.

Plenty of other people here fiddle and tweak things. They're technically modders. My installing a mod or editing an .ini you're a modder.

Niero posts here, so does TrainWiz (Obviously) and a few others from time to time.

It's still fucking tough, I'm lv11 and can't even continue the main quest yet (after finding Valentine) because of how stong synths are and how few ammo/medication you've got. Doing the start of the BoS questline right now, but most of my time is spent exploring and finding components to craft ammo/bandages/food. I'm also looking for a nice settlement to call home but I'm still not sure which one. Probably the open cinema place since it's pretty big and extendable. I really need to get those water purifiers and crops going.

Doesn't matter. My current character dumped everything but int, charisma and luck for a 'take everything that isn't nailed down and hoard it until you build a settlement' build. No damage perks, only upgrade perks I have is Chemist, Nuclear Physicist and Science! at about level 25. All other perks are shit like Idiot Savant, scrounger and hacker. Ignored Concord Museum and Preston, ran to Goodneighbor, then DC, then got Nick. Stopped off and did the BoS shit along the way.

Toughest fight was when I got caught between a patrolling group of raiders led by a Dreadnaught in PA and a group of Supermutants (Supermutant Overhaul) at night, just outside of Lexington. An invisible Nightkin took me down to 20% health with one hit, so I dropped some jet and started throwing baseball grenades and molotovs around like a retard. Somehow won. Thank fuck for Refreshing Beverages; better than water when you're sucking down a pound of chems at a time.

If you're using a mod that improves AI, you'll want a rifle for range, otherwise I just go with lightweight shit. Shotgun and pistol until I can afford to upgrade energy weapons. Fibreoptics are hard to come by at the start of the game.

I used to do the stealth shit too. Then one day I got sick of being one-shot every time I stuck my head out of cover. Popped some jet, started bumrushing people from stealth and blowing them away with a sawnoff shotgun and bash attacks. It actually fucking works. No more creeping around waiting for the caution meter to expand in order to take another plink at extreme range. Now it's grenades from stealth followed by point-blank boomstick to face. Nylon pantyhose are pretty hard to chew though, so a couple of layers on your arms, legs and neck should be enough to protect you from wild dogs and radiation zombies, just finish it off with a bike helmet and motorcross gear. Crowbar for scavenging and cracking skulls.

Can't help you with rads. If you get a lethal dose, you're dead, even if you don't know it yet. Layers of clothing should be removed once you're out of an exposed area, then scrubbing down your body will help, if only to get any dust off you. Iodine is good, apparently, but only if you're not allergic. Helps stop radioactive particles clogging up your brain. If you have burns or legions though, it's too late. Find a comfy spot and do all the drugs. You don't want to spend 2 weeks shitting blood before you die in agony.

Yeah that is a problem with NV survival mode, especially when you level the survival skill and can cook a lot. The Mojave is ironically rich in foragable resources. Although I don't dislike it too much, as the only reason to travel through a lot of the empty areas of that worldmap is for foraging, and limiting the foragables would just make the boring empty areas even more boring and empty. I thought Hardcore mode in NV was alright though. Made health and environmental management more important without it being tedious for the sake of being tedious.

I like food healing personally, but I think it can be a little overpowered as it is. It'd be nice if it had longer duration but less effective ticks (like maybe Xhp every 5 seconds instead of every second). As mentioned, while eating won't break crippled limbs or anything, being well-fed is good for your health not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well, so abstraction of allowing food to recover HP isn't a flawed abstraction by any means (although I did mention it can be a little OP, which could be rebalanced). Also some downsides or caps to food healing would help balance it, as if you have a lot of different foods all their effects stack and you become effectively invulnarable as your HP regeneration is pretty strong for a short period of time. Maybe penalties to AGI when eating a lot would offset that, along with having longer-duration but less ticks over time?

The surplus ammo was probably the best part of NV's system. The AP ammo was stupid usually because the DT system was basically broken anyway, but I did like the surplus ammo system (especially early game for automatic and semi-automatic weapons). Also being able to make overcharged ECs for laser pistols late-game really stretched the viability of an energy-pistol gunslinger late game.

I can see it happening and not happening both being equally likely. You could easily say that the SS reforms the whole organization to make it more sustainable and stable(introducing some sort of constitution or whatever), or the minute men splinter off and basically becomes the atomic boston balkans, with a dozen or two micro-nations fighting and supporting each other in an elaborate and confusing web of relationships.

Which is still preferable because at least you're in a nation, a group. Honestly, if I lived in the Commonwealth, I'd rather be in a micro-nation that's at war with other micro-nations rather than run around the wastlenad every day eating plants and bugs while avoiding getting brutally raped, murdered, and mutillated by raiders, super mutants, or someone in a grumpy mood.

Guys help. I think my FO2 is bugged, or interplay is a bunch of hacks.

So I'm clearing out Navarro and when I point blank burst enclave soldiers I do around 30 damage. I crawl through the base plugging away and return to NCR to sell all them plasma rifles.

I try to steal another Bozar from the gun merchant's guards, so I can shoot 3 bursts a turn, and get caught and then he pulls it and does 150 damage. I try again, same thing, and again. And I'm wearing the APA.

If you get crit in FO or FO2, your armor is bypassed and the damage gets multiplied. It's mildly tarded, but that's how those games handled it. The Institute are ingenious enough to make their stupidity that much more dangerous. The Brotherhood of Steel want to make things safer, but whether or not you consider them fascistic, their methods are probably unsustainable (pouring shittons of technological resources into day-to-day operations when there's only so much of that to find in the Commonwealth).

The Minutemen want to start a grassroots militia, but they're basically a gigantic neighborhood watch and don't want to get involved in politics. The Railroad don't plan or want to change the Commonwealth at all, they just want to either smuggle synths out of the Commonwealth area or blend them into the population. Your choices are basically between a) a modest life improvement for everyone, or b) a larger life improvement for a small minority and no significant change for everyone else.

The Minuetmen and settlement building as a whole were completely waste, desu. The main quest should have revolved around the SS rebuilding the Commonwealth into a cohesive state with them at the head, either ruling as dictator, president, or Elder.

Which faction you side with would determine which one you become. Side with the Brotherhood and Maxson decides to put you in charge of the Boston chapter and fucks off back to DC, making you de facto ruler in his stead. Side with the Minute Men and you become president and Command and Chief like some expy of Washington. Side with the Institute and you become a dictator, or more formally the "Director".

Side with both the Minutemen AND the Institute and you can choose to be the President with Institute tech or corrupt the Minutemen into being your thugs in a dictatorship.

Why the fuck can't I mod fallout 4 as of today?

I uninstalled fo4 and mods around when nuka world came out, but now i'm completely unable to mod anything into the game?

most of the older mods i'd installed before just via NMM simply do not produce anything ingame, anything non vanilla IS added to the game but only as meshless/textureless invisble objects with no effective stats

Tried everything I could find, yes i have altered the Customconfig, yes I ensured plugins were all enabled, yes my load order is perfect and is what worked previously

I do not have nuka world or any of the meme dlcs, just auto and FH

Rank 3 is extremely niche. When it trips, you only get bonus xp from kills for a minute. Only applicable in big, extended fights, dungeon crawling, or if you're crafting near some enemies then decide to take a break and go on a killing spree. Maybe you have a settlement at the Slog, then rush over to kill some Forged when it trips. Maybe you're using a chem bench or cooking station in a dungeon and it trips. Like I said, niche, not worth investing in like the first 2 ranks, assuming you can take something better.

The first 2 ranks are worth it, even on a 10+ int build. If you do a lot of crafting, the lower chance of it activating doesn't matter. It's also nice to occasionally level up twice from turning in a quest. Someone else has run the numbers and according to them, even if it bottoms out at a 1% proc rate, combined with the bonus xp from high int, you come out well ahead.

Yeah, the game won't read my plugins.txt file properly, can't even load from a mod manager. I can load, but my plugins don't activate. I have also had to start doing manual installs on a lot of mods, as ba2 files weren't being read properly. Had to extract them myself. Spent about a week merging mods and making merged patches. Played for about a week...then mods updated.

try turning off 'read only' on plugins.txt then modify the file by putting an asterisk in front of every plugin, so it looks something like this:

If you think about it, this is something that would occasionally happen.

I wish the game dealt more with mental illness, which would be a problem in the wasteland. Poor nutrition for a healthy brain, constant paranoia, unknown effects of long term environmental factors.

The only thing I can think of is the mole rat bomber lady that is a random encounter, and Tom who is really just eccentric.

Yep, it's the chance varies directly with LCK and inversely with INT. Somebody did the numbers a while ago, with a nice graph and everything, showing that it still scales pretty well with high INT given the better base XP gain anyway, iirc. Of course, you could always just save scum before huge XP gains, or console yourself the difference in XP if you get tired of waiting for it to proc.
It's good enough as a perk, but there are better choices, especially vs. the LCK tree in general. LCK is such a dump stat now that unless you use V.A.T.S. all the time, don't even bother tbqh.

I never was thrilled with the Overclocked design, it always looked off towards the back and side parts....after going over it again, I'm MUCH happier with the result. Also looked weird having copper going into those green portholes. I'm also gonna make those glow.

Alrighty. Having started over with Project Nevada instead of Vicious Wastes, I'm having a much funner time. No offense to the VW dude, but that was just kicking my ass beyond what I was looking to indulge in.

My hesitation to use the Equipment module has been proven dumb. The Homemade weapons are really fun. Their scrap repair nature makes them really useful. Also, it gives you easier access to a scoped weapon. Which is great. No more trying to line up sniper shots with pistols for me.

Also, clubbing people with a crowbar is amazing fun.

What is the timetable on their plan?

If they think they're down here "making a better future", at what point do they feel they are ready to go upstairs and implement their inventions?

They've already been down here for 200 years. How do they acquire new members? Do they have job applications? If not, and they're an enclosed population, at what point does inbreeding become an issue? They encountered that smart girl at university point and instead of recruiting her they killed her, so their recruitment process seems shaky. In fact, other than kellog, Li, Saun, and the player character, who do we know of that has been recruited?

They throw around a lot of rhetoric about wastelanders being subhuman, and that they're "relics of a dying past", and so they're trying pretty hard to "otherize" wastelanders so they don't feel bad about killing them, harvesting their resources, and abandoning them, which means the future they're trying to improve is essentially for themselves. So why bother making crops that grow well in soil? Why bother with stuff related to the surface at all? Unless you plan on waging a military campaign against the wastelanders when you decide it's time to go above ground, and clear out the riff raff, to make your better future.

You could extract those archive files to a loose version of the mod, and then merge the plugins while keeping the loose assets in place. The only problem could be potentially conflicting files from different mods, which you avoid by keeping those in discrete *.ba2 archives. The 2 front 'rims' that the barrel attaches into look kinda mangled around the top, It might be artifacting from the webm conversion though. But it looks like the mesh is kinda warped a bit. That's a misleading way of putting it. There's psykers in every game (except maybe BOS, I wouldn't know), but in 1 and 3 they were barely recognizable as once being human and in 2 it was gussied up as tribal magic, and that game had an honest-to-god ghost in it. 1 and NV had people that were psychic and still seemed like people, but they were so understated that they were very easy to miss, or simply not remember even if you met them. And no one played Tactics.

Fallout 4 is more or less the only game to have an obvious psyker that's a significant character and isn't painted as a science-run-amok monstrosity.

Alright, textures are done.

All thats left is making a few legendary variants, implementing the Gammaclaw somewhere, and the shop's inventory, and decorating Plas-man's house a little more. Oh and he's ex-Institute, reprogrammed gen 1s for minions and workers, Institute tried getting rid of him but he either outsmarted or destroyed them, sent courser, he reprograms her into being his sidekick. I was gonna go a bit darker with her being his personal love toy, but now she's more Turanga Leela to his Professor Farnsworth.

His store is guarded by synths in Power armor with plasma casters, and Captain Plasma also has a prong pointed at you the entire time. So if you wanted, you could outright kill him and take all his stuff, but you'll miss out on future opportunities to purchase more ammo or guns from him. Oh and it will also be very hard because having several plasma casters pointed at you is almost going to be instant death no matter what level you are. I suppose reverse pickpocketing grenades or stealing their guns from them might work with pickpocket. Somewhere on his property will be an enormous vat of plasma goo from various raiders and gunners that have tried raiding him to get their hands on all the phat loots. I thought about giving him a mind controlled pet Gorilla too.

I made a deathclaw skeleton the other day. I'm going to add transparent green glowing skin over it.

It will be a deathclaw that got so irradiated its skin started emanating X-rays. You can see its skeleton underneath its green glowing skin. It also will irradiate anything around it in a 20 or so foot radius, and also cause you to burst into flames just from being near it.

I also thought about making it explode like a mini nuke upon death but that might trigger people. It will drop 10 - 20 nuclear material on death.

I'd have to rig the skin again in OS, but hopefully shouldn't be too much of an issue. Deathclaws can be a pain to rig, but transferring weights from an identical mesh to another identical mesh is easy stuff.

Can't do that. Ported assets is against rules. Some day if I ever go back to Skyrim I might try rigging deathclaws to werewolves. Its BASICALLY the same shape and pose.

Bgem is like BGSM, but for special effects like glowing shit, transparency, etc.
Nialphaproperty is a thing you can add to nifs to make things transparent.
BSeffectshaderproperty is a variation of BSlightingshaderproperty, and is needed for Bgem files.

Basically all I did was look at how an armor with transparent glass did it, it took me a few hours to figure it all out, and even longer to figure out that I had to re-rig the armor piece after applying all that junk to it. When I was making my glass plasma tank things.

The Bgem file can be edited to allow further values, like amount of transparency...the green liquid in these tanks is indeed transparent, but you have to look hard or through special circumstances to see through it...like a light shining through it. I'm gonna make the deathclaws skin similar to it, maybe a bit more transparent.

Okay, but what I'm asking is if you can do it with SSS. I looked it up and apparently Creation does have it and you can access it. However it depends on he exact method in which Creation employs it. I really think you should look into it though and see if you can, because it would look a LOT better and more natural.

Its what I mentioned earlier when I was talking about Bgem files. The Bgem file can probably be ticked somewhere to allow sub surface scattering. I was a little confused at first by your post, I thought you meant it was an actual CK thing.

I don't know, I don't make mods. I just know some stuff because I've been practicing modeling in Blender and assembling stuff in Unity. But in that image he has, you can see subsurface lighting listed so maybe play with that? I know you can do it though, there's a mod on the Nexus that ramps it up on Super Mutants to make them look soft and transparent (pic related)
But like I said, it depends on how the engine does it, you might or might not be able to make the skeleton appear through the outer-mesh. I've only ever used screen-space subsurface scattering which is a pretty low tier method. You might still be able to use SSS it in tandem with transparency though?

Anyway do whatever you want dude, I just think if you can get it working with SSS, it'll look really noice.

Doing Synth Retention and returning with that objective so that it's not suspicious when I return to the Institute to visit the synth rebellion leader for Underground Undercover is such a cool feeling.

Now that I see what you're talking about, I don't think it will work with SSS. The SSS tab only applies to Bgsms. Trying to ramp up the SSS on a bgem and saving will just have it revert back to zero. Transparency and alpha property items only work with Bgems. So I don't think its possible to get the both of them to work.
