This is what I keep asking about. I suspect they either don't understand what LC is supposed to be or they're purposefully doing it wrong.
LC requires a shitload of effort to make work correctly, not simply one dude for each class going by his gut when something drops.
As it is it very closely resembles a corrupt loot council, but I don't want to make allegations when it could be simple incompetence.
My opinion is they very likely use realmplayers as their sole data source combined with "whoever i like today".

I've said it before but ignoring everything else, LC really doesn't have a place in a /vg/ guild.

Remember that you don't have to follow the speedrunning guide exactly. You could argue that it's not even that much faster on a crowded server anyhow.
The alliance side of the guide especially involves a lot of zone changing.
That all said, it's only faster if you are an aoe capable class with perfect and uncontested spawns to camp. And even then only marginally faster.
The true "Fastest" leveling is a mixture of quests and grinding at times. Next time you "need" to switch zones, grind out the next decent camp and stick around, perhaps working on gathering at the same time. Try and kill as you go (the guides all say this but it gets lost in the vanillaguide addon) from quest to quest, don't take roads exclusively.

Also be sure to check on quests that send you all over the world to make sure the reward is even worth it. In cases where it isn't, grinding is definitely faster.

There are lots of other decent spots and the respawn rate feels higher than it was on retail ,but I could be wrong. The most important is limiting your downtime and no competition. ASsume that any really good spot is going to be taken up already by a chink mage the closer you get to 60, and try your best to grind in spots that your class can kill easily (warriors may find casters that run a pain, where a shaman can rank1 earthshock/grounding and take almost no damage).
watch a movie and drink coffee, grind it up, until you get chinked eventually.
even cooler if you find a spot with a vendor not super far away.

I posted yesterday about starting wow for the first time here and got some tips but ive hit a dead end.

I got my hunter to lvl 12 and completed ALL the quests available (checked with questie addon) I reached Darnassus and did the spider quest and the one with the fishers i think.

Problem is that i have no idea of how to get pet training points,no idea where to buy food for the pet because they always are unhappy and flee and without it i can't go to Darkshore and start questing there because the mobs wreck my ass hard.

Sorry, i wasn't totally clear, but you don't HAVE to aoe grind to make sure of those spots. They are just decent spots to chain mobs. Warlock would do just fine, it's one of the better classes for that.
Mages use a lot of mana making big pulls but they make up for the downtime drinking by the size of the pack they kill at one time. Hunters and locks can chain mobs practically nonstop.
Apologies for not making sense, grinding to me just means killing shit over and over for an extended period, not necessarily big pack pulls and aoe'ing down (tho that qualifies as well).

You learn pet training skills near the hunter trainer, and the food they need will depend on the pet.
This will tell you what they need to eat as well as have other info for you:

You can also click your character pane and then pet, and hover over the icon to see what they eat. Cats eat meat, for example, boats eat anything.

You don't need to spam it, i did that too.
You use feed pet, then click on the food, then the pet will gain "feed pet" effect or whatever. Wait until that buff goes away, think it lasts 20 seconds or so. Then feed him again if he needs it.
You want him to stay at happy - I was using luna which automatically colors his hp bar according to his happiness so i forget how you'd tell otherwise, but feed him whenever he isn't fully happy. It will take a few stacks of food before he stops being a bitch about it.
So feed him, make sure he's happy, then kill shit with him until his happiness drops, refeed until happy, repeat. If you just spam the food on him the buff won't stack so you'll just run out of food.

Level up the pet's loyalty by killing mobs while it's happy and spending time with it happy. You'll get the first few pretty fast, be patient.

You can buy food at any innkeeper but as a hunter it's a good idea to level up cooking and cook food for your pet using mats you get from killing mobs. Maybe even take up fishing. Make sure you get the right kind of food. If you right click your pet's unit frame and go to pet details, then mouse over the happiness icon in that window, you can see its diet.

If you're having trouble with the mobs around darkshore at level 2 you are messing up basic gameplay somehow. Make sure you taught your pet Growl and have it on auto-cast.

Repeat on next mob.
You should never be in melee range of a mob under normal circumstances.

I sure hope so

levelling a warrior is burning me out

every other class is so much more fun levelling

but i have 71 pvp kills in the last week :-)
