You can climb with a 40% winrate if you pick Torb every game (seriously, I played with a 40% winrate Torb in GM). SR is biased to compare you against other people picking the hero. It depends on your character, and kills doesn't mean anything because even participating in the kill counts as a kill. D.va will likely have gold Elims because her pellets hit everything and they just happen to die.

What matters is that your killing the targets your supposed to be killing. Tracer and Genji should be harassing their backline, Reaper should be melting tanks, Soldier and McCree should be targeting the more mobile heroes, and Pharah should be shooting rockets at the enemy team aimlessly and uncontested. You get the idea.

The only conflict I can think of is the fact that you already get an XP multiplier for playing in a party. so it would be possible to get almost 3x normal XP gain, which would be a guaranteed level on "First win of the day" which is often given more than one time a day for some reason.
