I stopped playing after the HUD pacth, because they made the game too casual with all the shrines and other shit. I think it was 7.00 or something. I just quit cold turkey, because it was bad...

Yeah I've been playing it too. Hots is like the equivalent of diablo to me in terms of how much I don't care about it. I play it while giving zero fucks and just doing whatever. The game is unbalanced and shitty but it's enjoyable with friends. I still prefer dota over it without a doubt though.

Who are good offlaners? Who are poor offlaners? and why? What makes a good offlaner good? How do you "win" offlane?

For example, is offlane elder titan even a thing anymore? I love playing ET but I am starting to think he is just a poor hero right now. It seems like the only good offlaners are offlaners that can kill those offlane jungle creeps easily.

Anyway, how do you win offlane? What constitutes as losing offlane? I feel like most offlaners can't even go into the fucking lane without having 2 ranged supports harrassing you because tri lane.

I only use the default terrain in order to maintain as high FPS as possible, and also for faster recognition of abilities/units (that extra split second identifying an observer on the desert terrain or a sentry on the reef terrain, or any other unit/ability could affect the outcome of the game).

Which do you prioritise, a fraction of a percentage point of winrate or a nicer looking game?

why can't I say practice? If you wanna get good at dota, chances are you ought to play more dota. The best way to improve depends both on you and your skill bracket, if you play a lot of support and know how to rotate, but can't hit creeps for shit, then practice playing a core and hitting creeps, and vice versa. Coaching is valuable because each person improves at different speeds in different aspects, so I can't exactly just say "you need to do X better" because dota is a more complex game than just doing X.

I stopped playing this game one year ago.

Played since 2012 beta and don't regret getting off the ride. Didn't hit 6k, but sure as shit wasn't 2k.

Biggest mistake was picking and playing supports because nobody else was, and that just led to specializing in a role that did nothing if a game was turning to shit.

Also learned a lot about what every community is going to look like: 10% OK people, 90% retards. I don't think there is any other place out there that isn't this ratio... learning to communicate pretty much meant learn to stay silent when people are being dumb so they don't tilt.

This game is fun because of its pro scene and that's all. Even then the player count is dropping steadily so I think the whole thing is going to flop in some years when players start becoming too old to compete and nobody's there to replace them except third-world fucks. As far as trying to improve, it's a huge waste of time here or in any other game especially where there's rando teammates that require droolcups. Not saying people suck all the time, but far too often to synergize with and have fun. Having to 'git gud' and fill the void created by their shittiness is definitely not fun.
