Anor Londo was such an interesting area, I really liked how you had to find your way in to the place by crawling up rafters and buttresses and shit, and then once you're inside it was a whole big building with multiple floors and rooms to progress though until you find that big door you saw at the beginning from the other side and head back to the bonfire.
3's version is just a single path past the giant and into the hall, and then you've seen everything there is to see.

I got someone once with the soul mass thing but he literally ran into it. I don't think I can rely on that.

I think for an int build it probably isn't usable unless they buffed the beam tracking, or maybe it started from full charge. There just doesn't seem to be a good way to use it without poise casting.

Main thing to focus on with powerstance:
1. Pair large sweeping moves with powerful thrust moves
2. Use weapons with high damage and low weight (but shitty movesets) in L Arm
3. Us weapons with great 1H (but shitty 2H) movesets in R Arm
4. You still have access to both 1H movesets, so decouple your powerstance (or switch to RA2H) to throw out surprise R2s or projectile weapons
5. You get two rolling attacks. Use wisely.
6. Use a lighter, faster weapon in the R arm so you can set up combos (R1-L1-L1).

must people just try to figure out how to beat a boss or skip it and play elsewhere then come back to it

if you're dealing with multi-enemy bosses your problem is that you're not spacing well and running out of stamina.

Try sticking to the edges of the area and circling around the gargoyles. Soak up the fire with a shield (dragon crest, which you can get with the master key, works great)

You can always just skip the gargoyles and go to blighttown. They're not optional in the long run but you don't have to fight them until the halfway point of the game.

You guys ever invade with a greatbow/obscuring ring and spend forever whittling down their health as they make their way through the level? Usually every shot is about 1 estus, if I land like 10 shots and get a few guerrilla hits in they run out of estus, not to mention damage taken from fighting mobs.

Works best in the DLC areas where they go a long time without encountering the boss fog.

Shitter invaders that instantly die and supply them with estus throws a wrench in it, but besides that it's great fun.

Crystal Hail is perfect, you can have three up at once for eternal crystal raining down.

It's slow, but you can solo a 4-man gank squad. They will never, ever hit you because you roll too fast and too far and you cast too quickly. Your crystals are hitting everyone, everyone's health is going down by 200~ every two seconds. The panic becomes really obvious after a while.

How do you use Curved Greatswords outside abusing the running R1? I have no experience with the weapon class, but it just seems like the regular R1's aren't that good. Stack poise and trade? Aren't other ultras better at doing that? I don't have a grasp on the weapon class at all and I'm trying to go through all of them and work on those I have little experience with. Any advice or whatever would be appreciated.

The rolling animation is also really good on das2, too. It's down to earth and looks like how a normal human being would commit to a rolling maneuver, even if it sounds retarded. DaS1 and 3 characters throw their head against the ground, while the das2 character carefully spins around throwing his back against the ground first. It's probably because it was mocapped.

Dusk crown ring + bellowing dragoncrest ring + soul spear nuking. Anor londo never gives you more than 1 or 2 enemies to fight at a time, so you can nuke one, run back, re-cast, then nuke the second.

For THOSE knights (you know the ones) strong magic shield + heavy homing crystal soul mass. Tank the greatbow hits until you reach the top with your shield, let the soul mass kill the first knight, run back, re-cast, repeat for the second knight.

Tank the hits with your shield until you get close enough to lock on from the bridge and nuke them.

I think sorcery is actually easier to use in anor londo than pure melee strategy.
