i think under 4 days /played is only with help, as in a main at 60 able to supply the new character with gear or a higher level helping you. I could be wrong.
It also depends on how packed a server is and how much time you spend fucking with professions (like time spent making sure your gathering prof is zone appropriate as you go).
pretty sure 7ish is more the "average" but again, i could be wrong as i didn't look anything up and i'm generally a dipshit.

Why would you ever play a dps class ever except for pvp? It's 100% about spamming a rotation. The only instances where it isn't and are fun are hunters kiting, warlocks having to constantly watch for when to banish, and that's it. Every other dps class is some variation of hit button x, then y, then z, and you don't even have to look at the screen.

Tanking and Healing are the true end game. Prove me wrong.

To be absolutely fair the OP said must fun in pve, and I have an honest answer. Dungeons are fun when you're leveling when you aoe slow shit, but outside of that it's not nearly as fun in raiding as it is in pvp where admittedly it's one of the most fun classes.

Melee are actually better when they get gear but there are so many melee it's hard to get a spot. Mages are also much cheaper to raid with than melee are.
