This pvp is so fucking bad it's almost surreal. I've done nothing but get bodied by higher level geared people over and over again while doing the equivalent of chip damage to them. Now I'm currently stuck in a 2 vs 2 match waiting on a 4th that is never coming. Been waiting for over 15 minutes and the game gives you no option to drop out of the match.

Anyone reckon Hanzo will die by the end of dlc? Since the real Hanzo of that period dies in the Siege of Osaka

A yokai realm level or mode could be a cool idea. The whole level would essentially be in a yokai pool with a monochrome filter. Yokai would regain ki normally and yours would be slower but you could ki pulse in order to temporarily purify the area around you and make things work normally. Or something like that.

I feel like Ieyasu is likely to die. The real one died about a year after the Siege of Osaka so it fits pretty well.
Unlike a lot of other characters his death in-game has been foreshadowed, with him drooling blood when you obtain his guardian spirit, and Shigezane's entry stating that Ieyasu doesn't have long to live.

Ninjutsu is more fun but not as good unless you go a kunai build (dex/skill scaling). If you're wanting to fuck around in PvP though it has some hilarious abilities.

Both have their own cheese but onmyo is definitely better in both PvP and PvE, outside of maybe a Storm Kunai build since it can deal absolutely insane amounts of DPS. But as said earlier that needs a ton of investment to make work.

cuckoo's call is pretty good in pvp when the opponent doesnt have heavy armor and is using a light stance that gets deflected easily on block

Hard to say. The smithing text for his armour drops in that fight, but the Odachi smithing text dropped in the duel fight as well. Maybe you have to do both or maybe there is just a large pool of smithing texts for each of them. I'm not sure.

does anyone know if a smithing text exists for genji armor?

The softcap on every stat is 30, right? I'm thinking of putting all stats at 30 and dumping the rest into Stamina so I can have an all around build to mess around with different playstyles without constantly respeccing.

They're either just to notify players of rare stats, and/or are the max rolled stats you find on wpn drops, to notify you that the wpn has a stat at the highest roll for that rarity. applies only to drops.

There's some odd consistency with the latter assumption though, as divines should have 90 soul match reduction as max, but I've gotten a 70 with a star next to it. there's also the forgable odachi with a poison star stat, it's obviously not the max, so unsure why the star is there.

This is why I'm thrown off to what the star signifies, seen the icon next to Iai strike for example, both on divine and yet one state is higher than the other, so it can't mean max stat for a particular skill.

Only other thing I can think of since you can't reforge them on items, is that they are exclusive to the particular weapon that rolled them, and the development expect us to drop our current gear and start investing in these new ones. Which is bullshit if that's their intention.

PvP is really nice. People like to buff themselves with every talisman and spam sloth, guardian spirits or ninjutsu.

Do you use flux? I switch stances every 3-5 hits and can attack pretty much indefinitely. Flux I'm pretty sure gives you more ki and makes your ki start regenerating almost instantly.

I've gotten really good at timing the second triangle for the double slash but sometimes its hard to pull off because of the lag. For PvP I go Aya + Neko and unlimited nin on all my gear, 2x accessories are a must for big boy numbers.

for PvE I recently switched to +thrown weapon damage or storm kunai damage on all of my equipment (except one since I haven't got the roll on everything yet). I also have agility A+ ranged weapon & storm kunai A damage bonus accessory. Neko + bunny both lvl 40 as guardians. Get all of the damage passives from other weapons that aren't weapon specific like damage to behind. Pretty sure only relevant stats are 99 dex/skill and the spirit for neko.

Well, the Amrita Absorption works with extraction talismans, in PvP, so I imagine it works there for your healing as well. Only real issue is if you're running a slow weapon build, since the amrita is based on hits, not damage.
