We talked about this like 2-3 weeks ago.

BASICALLY: We say that the Nexus took them from alternate time periods wherein they were the Nephalem you play as in D3. Whereas in D3, they are not the actual characters you play as, but exist in the background. In D3, there are items alluding to the existence of Valla and Johanna, but state that they have been missing for a long time, though in HotS Tyrael addresses them as if they've met and hung out and fought Hell together. So HotS and D3 conflict with one another, so the best explanation we can think of is that they're just from alternate realities wherein they are not missing and are the main characters of D3.

Cassia and Xul are the same characters from D2 though. Even though Cassia plays exactly like the D2 Amazon and Xul plays like the new D3 Necro, but what the fuck ever, that's just me being bitter at those fucks.

If you're going solo heal comp and you have a Rehgar main, then he's the go to.
If you're going solo heal comp and you have a high damage mage, then Auriel is the go to.
If you're going solo heal comp and you don't have either of the above, then it's Li Li or Kharazim.

If you're going double warrior + double support, then you want Tass/Tyrande/Li Li/Uther in slot 1 and Auriel/Brightwing/Lucio in slot 2.
Kharazim and Rehgar can go in either slot, but both need to under why they're there and know how to build accordingly.

I tried the Auriel + Carry but it never seems to work at my tier since they can never keep constant damage up.
To my suprise Valeera + Auriel worked really well with Valeera face tanking because her combo always gives me a full heal bar which she repeats every few seconds.

I guess I should play more Rehgar because I'm really bad with him.

That's a bit of an issue in the lower leagues, and even in the higher leagues people sometimes say Auriel requires two high damage mages so when one goes into panic mode she still has a source of energy.

Also Rehgar is one of those heroes who either hard carries games or does nothing of value, depending on your individual skill with him. He's worth practicing but it's going to be a rough patch.
Assuming of course you're playing against and with people who are of equal skill with each other.
