Huh, I'm still kind of new to the game, but I keep expecting things like this to not work since they seem too fun and obscure.
If my fortress falls, I'll make sure to drop some divine metal in there if I can.
>>

That would mean your dwarves would have to become vegetarians though. Is it worth the sacrifice?

Thinking about it, it's probably a result of being in an evil biome. Something dies, it becomes a zombie, manages to kill something else before it but gets mangled shortly after, and the chain repeats until there's blood and mangled corpses everywhere. I'm surprised I seem to have broken into the caverns on layer 2, with no layer 1, though. There's rutherers and black-caps.

No you don't. Creatures automatically make items sized for them, there's not even a way in entity raws to decide what size items they make. And using the details menu to make items sized for different races is a vanilla feature anyway. Not sure how that last bit works with different castes of the same race, though.

Well, they are, but it seems you already know as much so at least you've got that going for you.
A few tips:
Don't dig your fort in the dirt, you're playing dwarf fortress, not hobbit hole.
Your farms are way too big.
Those trees will leave holes in your ceiling if you dig under them then cut them, you've already got at least one.
Something something symmetry reeeee.

I faced some real heavy FPS drop and it took me 15 seconds to move a square and I was in the middle of the ocean so I couldn't travel or anything.

So I looked up some DFHacks and used something called "Instant-Transmission".
Done and done, I teleported to somekind of crab, that'd probably be somewhere else.
I was right, but apperently I teleported 22 floors beneath the surface of the water and I'm stuck in somekind of cave.

How do I get out of here? Do you guys know another more reliable Hack that can get me out of this cave and somewhere else?

The beginnings of a great fort. Fuck around with some stuff, see if you can make a cistern or something. Sand walls and floors are not ideal, but they mostly just trigger autists. They can't be engraved but they work fine. They will become fungus one day though, might want to convert them to grazing pastures at some point after you breach caverns.

It can be strong enough. Armor doesn't protect the joints at all, so a legendary wrestler can snap the limbs of an opponent pretty easily. They take a lot longer to finish the job, though, and a grappling dwarf is an easy target for the rest of the gobbos. A shield is recommended at least, even if you're not using any weapons.

All right, my new mod "Fantastical Races" is in the alpha stage. Basically, the goal of this mod is to add six new and hopefully interesting civilizations to the game, in order to add a bit more flavor and variety to the world. I have no idea if the civs are balanced in any capacity, or the adventurers you can make from those civs. But that's not important right now and I'll get to it as problems arise. Right now, the mod features exactly 1 civilization, the Manat race. These guys are a species of quasi-undead Giger ripoffs that, despite an unsettling appearance, were constructed out of the mangled souls and bodies of humans (plus some other fun bits) and due to the residual not-evilness of their human heritage, aren't a bunch of mindless killing machines like most races of a similar design are. That said, they are isolationist, xenophobic, obsessively lawful neutral, and practically every crime carries a serious punishment with it. They are playable in both adventurer and fort mode, although in fort mode they lack the secret of steel making and Adamantine-smithing, but I left that stuff in the raws if people want to change it. Also, they come in 6 different castes with their own strengths and weaknesses. I will add more races as soon as I can, but right now I might as well release what I currently have. Let me know what you think of the mod so I can continue to improve it.

Toady confirmed that slavery will be a game mechanic (sorry no source)
We have slavery ethics after all

Mmm, we also have that lust parameter...

he somehow confirmed that things like racisms and prejuices will also come into play eventually, so we'll someday be able to play DF civ mode and, as a king, command whole armies to raid the elves and bring their best females for sex slaves

oh, add the planned hibridation mechanic on the table and it almost seems that toady made DF to be a fantasy fetish simulator
>>
>>176020561
Slavery is a game mechanic.

Civs with positive slavery ethics often take slaves when they sack enemy sites. These slaves can be encountered in the game. In adventure mode, you can even offer to bring them back to their homes.
>>
>>176020945
One of the more consistent triggers for the elevation from hostile to warring is slavery.

ACCEPTABLE and ABHORRED civs will clash like a motherfucker, it's why I made my elves gung ho for slavery.
>>
>>176021036
Slaves in DF appear to have very comfortable lives, though.

They often become scholars and performers, and they're seemingly free to travel the land as they like, since they often come as visitors to player forts.

>the author of gemset wants to focus on a less cutesy graphic set in the future
>>
>>176019304
With the advent of magic on the horizon Dragonbreath will become less of a problem because of fire nullifying enchants.

I see Geomancy becoming a new terror with spikes bursting from the ground impaling or gelding any poor dwarf in the area.
>>
>>176021394
What's so great about it?

Cutesy sets (i.e. Gemset, Spacefox) are obviously a minority.

There are definitely enough generic brown sets.
>>
>>176021912
I should have specified: less cutesy as in "more ascii-like", not "more phoebus/ironhand".
>>
>>176022000
Well, I guess I can dig that.

I never played with Gemset or Spacefox, but I always appreciated how clean they looked.

It also seems like the authors are very responsible when it comes to managing their palettes, e.g. they don't add a thousand different one time colours which don't occur outside the creature graphics.

Personally, I prefer my own comfyset. Since both the tileset and the creature graphics just uses four colours (white, black, two shades of grey), and the latter gets its colours from the colour file, I don't have to worry about palettes at all. All that matters is that the colour scheme allows me to tell all the colours apart, regardless of which shade they use.

I've also considered making my set a bit more ASCII like again. I recently added an addition sign to my floors.

I'm considering doing something similar with my hatch covers. I'm not sure quite how to do it yet. hatch covers are tricky, because the colours behave totally different depending on the materials. One material means that you see the coloured areas, as usual, but another means that you only see the transparent areas, and a third means that you see both, but in different colours. This makes the hatch cover tiles hard to change.
>>
>>176022454
I always found the style of gemset/spacefox absolutely ridiculous and unfitting for DF, but on their own, they were well made. As you said, clean looking, good color work, etc.

It's always the same problem with shitty tilesets:
phoebus/mayday/ironhand, what stonesense became once grass was added, and what apparently armok vision is now also becoming - too busy, too detailed, too many colors, no consistency - and as a result a lack of a clear, concise and fast visual identification.

I think a major advantage of ascii like tilesets is that there usually are only 16 colors and in some cases shades.
It's interesting how some tileset creators go back more and more to ascii-like graphics the longer they play and work on their graphics.
>>
>>176022859
>It's interesting how some tileset creators go back more and more to ascii-like graphics the longer they play and work on their graphics.
It's often a necessary evil, since the individual characters progressively get more uses the longer development goes on.

For example, before the tavern update, armour stands had a unique tile. This made their tile easier to change. Now it's used as a secondary tile for dancing characters. So unless you use TWBT (which I 100% refuse, since it crashes the game and requires DFHack to be up to date), you're better off using the ASCII sign for that.

I think we'll see similar developments with other tiles, too, essentially making the graphics less and less moddable over time.

Then, the big turn will come when Toady finally adds full-graphic support, or more specifically, the ability to load tilesets with any number of characters, and then assigning those characters to each object in the game manually. By then, it will basically be possible to play DF like any 2d game.
>>
>>176023797
>I think we'll see similar developments with other tiles, too, essentially making the graphics less and less moddable over time.
To be fair, some of the new tiles were always added as changable by Toady - trees, tracks, minecarts, wheelbarrows - though that of course doesn't change the core issue: it's still only one main tileset.
It would also make graphic set maintaining a lot easier if you could have separate text files for just the graphics so you don't have to distribute edited raws just to move the wheelbarrow to another tile.

>not artifact platinum shields for ultimate bashing power
>>
>>176038417
As of the implementation of weapon/armour degradation, wood is a worthless shield material.

Tried it in one fort, several soldiers got their shields destroyed during a single siege. It felt like Mount and Blade, with shields breaking apart both left and right.
>>
>>176039101
You're lying. The science has been done. Shields don't degrade either blocking or bashing.
>>
>>176039239
Wooden ones do, as clearly proven in that fort.

I've never seen a metal shield degrade, though.

>>
>>176039408
>as clearly proven in that fort
It's not proven. You just made up an anecdote to support your supposition, which has been demonstrated false. Shields are shields, the degradation code applies to items as a whole, it doesn't pick and choose based on their material.

tfw no lovecraft mod
>>
>>176040058
On that note, would it be possible for secrets to change creatures?
Say like something in shadow over innsmouth where all the people start turning into fish.
I was thinking it would be cool to start a dwarf fortress, and maybe your dwarves worship a deity with the secret tags, and lovecraftian shenanigans ensue.
Maybe these "cults" could start rising up like necromancer towers. The occurency seems about right, wouldn't want every dwarf who worships the deity to get changed, just like those who go down the path of necromancy.
>>
>>176039843
Your logic seems pretty undeniable.
>>
>>176039843
Actually, different materials degrade/break in combat based on their stats in raws. Not sure if this applies to weapons and shields but i wouldnt rule that out either.

If you dont belive try out attacking a dwarf wearing leather clothes as something like a hydra in arena and you can see their clothes being ripped apart by your attacks.

Breach the ocean from below when it's frozen, and build small rooms on the ocean floor. Make sure to put in windows, so your dorfs can admire the underwater life from the safety inside.

Bonus points if some monster breaks a window and floods an entire section of the fort. The high water pressure should be pretty dangerous at that depth.

>>
>>176041072
>Actually, different materials degrade/break in combat based on their stats in raws.
Right. Items break and degrade based on a test of their comparative material properties and the force of the attack. That's not what I'm disagreeing with. Shields appear to have been specifically exempted from this test, as has been corroborated by multiple anons in arena tests with dfhack used to check the exact wear levels of the shields, and further supported by the fact that any anon can see pages and pages completely undamaged enemies' shields of various materials left after a siege. Currently the only way to see a damaged shield is to leave a nonfire/magma/dragonfire-safe shield sitting in fire/magma/dragonfire, or from the refuse pile degradation bug. Both of those predate armor and weapon degradation.

A few questions.

Is it possible to flood the embark with magma to the point that it won't dissipate? Can I somehow get "flow" going, so it's running off both edges of the map and the game just keeps it moving? If I do this, what happens to caravans? Do they show up and burn?
>>
>>176042017
>The high water pressure should be pretty dangerous at that depth.
Most oceans are really shallow anywhere that they're actually embarkable. They don't start to get very deep for a considerable distance from land. I've seen some exceptions where steep inclines start right where land ends, but they're pretty unusual.
>>
>>176043206
Yeah basically
>>
>>176043269
Two or three z-levels of water is usually enough to instantly flood hundreds of tiles.

t. guy who recently started digging out a fort, but then happened to dig a ramp under an underground lake. the dug out chamber my miners were in was at least 10x10 tiles wide and two levels high, yet it filled up entirely almost instantly. the poor miners didn't manage to take a single step before they started drowning.
>>
>>176043373
wtf
>>
>>176043219
Magma isn't pathable, so if your entire surface, including the edges, has lava on it merchants just won't show up. It would be the same as bridge-walling the entire map edge. No merchants, no invaders, no migrants, no wildlife spawns that aren't flying.
You would need a whole lot of readily available magma and a lot of infrastructure to move it quickly. You would be racing against both evaporation and map edge runoff, and if you ran out or stopped moving more magma onto surface for even a short period you start losing the race. I doubt it's possible even on a 1x1 map, but that's no reason not to try. Good luck.
>>
>>176043675
But, assuming I figure out a way to get it >1/7 on all edges, will it stay put?

In other words, say I make a giant tray with bridges holding the magma. I open this and flood the outer ring of the map to 7/7. Does it stay, or does it go? Is there any way to permanently create a lava moat around the outer edge?
>>
>>176044060
If it's actually on the edge, then no it won't stay. It's still subject to the flow mechanics and will just spread offmap and disappear. Any tile of water or magma at >1/7 tries to reduce its depth by spreading to adjacent tiles with less depth, and the map edge will never provide depth to keep that from happening. The best you could do is use raising bridges to create a wall on the map edge and have a big bowl of lava for your fort's surface.
>>
>>176043601
Pressurized water moves fast, yeah, but instantly is an exaggeration. /dfg/ has a weird fetish for melodrama when talking about water pressure.

>>
>>176050146
Completely normal, if it doesent lag it usually means that something is preventing the world from growing. (Usually a megabeast killing children of civs few years after they are born.)
If you want a world with long history just leave your DF on to generate a world while you go do something else.

Ages depend on many things, see http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Calendar for more info about them.
>>
>>176050146
how big is your world?

for worlds that are medium, it's normal that th worldgen slows down after 80 years (assuming you have medium civs and sites).

most players don't play with long history. it doesn't necessarily make the world more interesting. in fact, it can make the world duller, as civs will die out and goblins become more dominant.

The problem isn't that it's burning, it's that it's melting. What you PROBABLY want is [FIXED_TEMP], which fixes their temperature to a certain amount, and set that a bit below freezing. Or you could use [HOMEOTHERM], if you still want them to melt if it gets TOO hot, but I'm not really sure how strong of an effect it is.
>>
>>176055206
They would still melt from normal temperatures but be immune to creature fire attacks. If you want a creature that can resist a certain amount of heat i suggest checking out the very last few lines in dragon's raws and copypasting and modifying the lines to your liking.

>>176056337
>>176055015
>>176055206

Depending on what you want, the answer can go from simple to rather complicated.

If you want a creature that will never get damaged by any kind of heat or fire add [FIREIMMUNE_SUPER] along with
[SELECT_MATERIAL:ALL]
[COLDDAM_POINT:NONE]
[HEATDAM_POINT:NONE]
[IGNITE_POINT:NONE]
[IF_EXISTS_SET_MELTING_POINT:100000][IF_EXISTS_SET_BOILING_POINT:100000]
[SPEC_HEAT:30000]
[SELECT_MATERIAL:BLOOD]
[PLUS_MATERIAL:PUS]
[MELTING_POINT:10000]

If you want a creature that has their entire body set to a certain temperature (affecting surroundings) use the [FIXED_TEMP] for permanent and [HOMEOTHERM] for temperature that will only exist as long as the creature is alive. Dont think these will affect how well the creature resists temperatures though. (Creature with fixed temperature set too high will burn itself to death and everything around it)

>>176056807

>>
>>176058069
FBs and Titans dont melt because they probably have modified ice/snow that wont melt at room temperatures. (would be pretty silly to have your FB die in two seconds of it invading your fort)

Blizzard men dont melt because they arent actually made of ice or snow even though their description says otherwise.

>>176058057
>Whips have the best armor penetration.
>Flails are best for breaking bones.
These are both wrong. Whips have the lowest penetration value in the game, which is irrelevant anyway because blunt weapons' penetration value isn't used in their combat calculations. Whips were at their best in 34.11, when skulls were still really soft and pain was still really effective at making creatures pass out. They're still strong, but since then skulls were thickened, whips were made slower, and pain response was significantly nerfed. Hammers and maces will be a better blunt choice against most enemies now.
Flails are a contender for the objective worst weapon in the game, with only mauls potentially giving them a run for their money. They aren't best at anything at all except possibly extending fights well beyond any reasonable timeframe. Their massive contact area spreads their attacks' force out so much that you need to be ungodly strong just do enough damage to outpace the healing rate of the outer layers of tissue, which are all that you'll be damaging. Maybe you were thinking morningstars? They're really good at breaking bones for normal-sized humanoids, their penetration and contact area is right in the sweet spot.

More likely water and ice creatures just follow the same rules as ice constructions, which are temperature proof. It would be a pretty notable departure from form if Toady not only made a special exception for those materials, but also illogically made them magma-proof. Besides, don't proc-genned creatures refer to the same material templates in the raws as everything else? I'm sure someone would've noticed a magma-proof dupe of ice in the raws by now.

The armor got damaged bit by bit from the sword but I couldn't see any from the shield, and the sword got torn up by the superior armor properties while the shield remained at 0 wear timer.

10 is plenty for some forts. I aim for ~20-30% conscription rate, but a lot of those will be part timers who have real jobs. If you suck at training or equipping a military your losses might be too high for that to be an effective number. If not, then more than 10 is going to be overkill except for special cases, like fighting the circus or unapproachable FBs and such. A single legendary dwarf is easily worth a dozen average invaders on his worst day, and on a good day one soldier can wipe a siege solo before backup arrives.

>>
>>176062709
More penetration is always better for edge weapons, and doesn't matter at all for blunt weapons. For contact area it's a different story. Having contact area too high spreads the force of the attack out so it has more material to absorb the force of the attack before it starts getting to vital bits. For edge weapons with decent penetration (think great axes, halberds, 2h swords) this isn't often a problem, for blunt weapons it usually translates to their attacks never doing more than bruising skin and fat (mauls and flails). Morningstars have a very low contact area (10, compared to 5 for a dagger, 20 for spears and pikes, and 40k for a battle axe), meaning they don't hit much tissue on contact, and just enough penetration that they often hit bones and vital organs on things that aren't giants. They also have a decent velocity modifier. Think of them as an edged alternative to hammers; both are very effective for fighting normal sized armored enemies, but you should bring either to a dragon fight.

In one of my posts I almost floated the idea that successful blocks set attack momentum to 0, thereby preventing shields from being damaged as a side-effect, but then even as I was typing it up I remembered that shield bashes left the shields pristine as well, which can't be explained the same way. It may be that any misc. objects are immune to combat wear?
>>
>>176066094
Sure, after you've gotten a breeding population of them that will feed your fort forever and ever. Also good practice for the animal trainers who will have to wrangle those war lions.

>>176066905
not the same guy, but
no. bigger contact weapons get less usefull against bigger things. You want a spear against forgotten beasts and shit since it can actually pierce the skin and reach some organs beneath.
A mace or something most likely just gets absorbed by the beasts skin, fat, muscle.
>>
My dwarves have stuffed all the barrels with plump helmets. Is there a way to remove the plants so I can brew with those barrels?
>>
>>176066905
Depends on the weapon's other stats and the creature in question. If you want to chop up a roc a great axe or a 2h sword are going to work better than a battle axe or short sword. If you want to chop up a giant kea it won't make much difference because their body parts are still small enough that all of the above will be able to cut enough tissue to get limbs off for a reasonably strong creature. If you just want to kill it fast a spear will work better for both creatures, as it's more likely to get the brain or another vital organ in one hit. On the other hand, a great axe might cut the giant kea in half in one swing, and a battle axe almost never will, and neither can do that on a roc. A flail, again, is going to be useless in both situations. Theoretically, though, if you were ridiculously strong and had a weapon with even higher contact area than a 2h sword you might be able to chop a roc in half. If you aren't strong enough it will be less effective, on account of more tissue slowing down the attack.

You shouldn't use them at all. The force translation update was the nail in the coffin for danger rooms, anyone you send in there will come out a cripple regardless of how well armored they are. If the trap component breakage bug applies to upright spike traps then you might crash your game on top of it. Anyway, since the nerf to danger rooms a couple of years ago happened normal military training has been more effective even before force translation was a thing.

>So this month, the idea is to switch over from your fort sending out squads of dwarves on various missions to the fort being the recipient of artifact-related questers and larger groups representing artifact claims (such as an army seeking to recover or seize an artifact). The easy starting point was questers that attempt thefts. Questers so inclined can now sneak in from the edge and try to take their target artifact, either running away or fighting if they are caught, depending on their temperament.

>We also allowed questers that are uncertain of the artifact's location to visit your tavern if you have one. Dwarves that are unable to hold their tongues can confirm the presence of artifacts, and then the quester can decide if they want to leave and sneak back in, or if they'll simply request/demand the artifact. Which is the next thing I'm going to add -- there's a bit of choreography there if you comply (since the artifact will need to be retrieved and handed over), but whatever I do should also work for the army requests/demands which'll come after that.

>If you don't have a tavern, questers will simply attempt a theft or make a demand without confirmation. If they demand an artifact that you don't have, you can tell them you don't have it, or you can pick a fight if you want. Also in this vein, we've had several questers come in succession for the same artifact -- this generally happens if a populous town/hangout has a "message board" quest for one of your artifacts and several heroes are already in transit before any change is obtained. Even if you give an artifact away, or don't have it, you might have to tell a few people off before the information spreads around. I haven't done it yet, but hopefully you'll have the option to tell second questers the specifics about whom you gave an artifact to so they can go chase after that person if they want.
>>
>>176082785
Thanks.
>>
>>176082587
Not him but I can try. A danger room is a room full of upright training spears. Dwarves go in, get poked repeatedly by the (mostly) harmless spears, and quickly build up immense combat skill experience. It's kind of an exploit, but a popular one.

However, the spears aren't harmless if dwarves aren't covered, since the game simulates weapons piercing through armor, which training spears mostly can't do. But without armor (or at the very least clothing), they'll just pierce through the flesh. He also used a masterwork spear, which has a higher chance to hit.

He sent dwarves to stop the accidental deathtrap, which used a minecart to funnel the recruits into the danger room, but the dwarves got too freaked out and couldn't focus on pulling the lever to shut it down.

What are the optimal settings for world generation for fortress mode, in the sense of attempting to avoid fps death?

Pocket World, obviously

But then History, Number of Civilizations, Maximum Number of Sites and Number of Beasts I can see having an impact on FPS during play since .40, but I'm not sure.

Pretty sure Number of civilizations should be low, as should maximum number of sites, to help prevent too many people in the outside world moving around.

I'm told Number of Beasts doesn't affect how often you get attacked by titans, so I don't think it deals with the pathing of the creatures (and its also FUN to have lots of beasts) so I think that can stay high.

I don't care about how long it takes to generate the world - after all it's a one time thing

But I guess I don't know that much so I'm wondering if someone can shed some light on that

some research I did on optimizing fps for fortress mode without sacrificing interaction with the world around you:

>pocket world obviously necessary for maximizing fps
>HOWEVER history basically has to be very short, as the tight quarters promote fighting very early on, meaning civilizations can EASILY be eliminated within 100 years regardless of where you set number of sites / civilizations
>bad if you enjoy the trading / diplomacy aspect of fortress mode, regular sieges, etc, or if you want migrants

>number of civs / sites can be reduced to very low for super optimal fps, but it's typically not necessary for anything, barely noticable. low will give you elves, gobbos, dwarves, and humies typically, you can set it to medium for maybe kobolds or an animal race of people to establish themselves (keep in mind even on very low you'll still have such populations, but without raising it to medium at least they'll never have formalised civs)
>number of sites can be fairly high but it doesn't matter because as previously mentioned, very short history is necessary for any pocket world, which doesn't give people much time to expand outwards. still, anywhere from low-high will probably be ok.

>number of beasts / natural savagery / mineral frequency has negligible effect on fps, assuming pocket world (pocket world naturally has the megabeast pop limit incredibly low even on very high, everything else changes nothing)

that's about it. this is sort of for people who have shitty computers but still want to have reasonably sized forts without autismal pathing optimization in fort design. the idea is to get as much out of fortress mode as you can and make the world feel alive without creating too much unnecessary fps lag because of .40 world surrounding shenanigans.

now here's my question to adventure mode people out there: is the best adventure mode world a very large world with tons of civilizations, sites, beasts, savagery and history?
>>
>>176096064
>best adv mode world
It's whatever you want it to be.

Do you want a few known groups, where you learn the names of the power players and have those sorts of conflicts?

I mean, cool and all that somebody made an oficial research but you have researched something that we've known for the whole span of the game mate
Its common sense that if you make less stuff happen in the game (dorfs=variables) and the game has to simulate less landscape (worldsize) your pc will suffer less

Write 3(THREE) poems using this format, /dfg/!

The Saturnine Pantomime
A dramatic poetic form intended to amuse the audience concering the future.
The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. the poem is three quintains. Use of ambiguity and simile is characteristic of the form. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning and they sometimes have reversed word orders. Each line has two syllables. The Rhyme scheme of the poem is 1AA1B, where numbers indicate a refrain. As a rule throughout the poem, the end rhymes don't generally match perfectly.

Time for a new adventurer by the name of Yarare, he is a draconian
born in ''Seducedveils'' the dark elven fortress.

Despite the fortress supposedly being elven i only see goblins here. Has there been an uprising perhaps? I'll go see if i can find anyone in charge who can explain what is going on.

I'd say two or three years ingame time and you can build a fort that can support 100+ dwarves.

Kobold civs are hostile toward everybody. Their ethics force members to attack any outsiders they see.

That particular kobold is most likely part of a non-kobold civ. It's pretty rare for that to happen, but there are a few ways.

Had giant mandrills in my current fort. Where annoying as fuck. Constant "cancled shit because mandrill" spam and some dwarves and caravan guards even tried to fight them. But they couldn't keep up with them. So some merchant followed one to the edge of the map until the other mandrills showed up and gang banged the one dwarf. Some of my dwaves wanted to do the same.
send military, "epic" fight after ages of running behind the mandrills. for some reason all the injuries were broken ankles. These fucking monkeys specifically tried to cripple my dwarves. trying to rip their feet off.

Hi modanon, curious if you'd seen my request for a buffed, large, vicious and fearless kobold with weapons-grade claw/bite attacks. I imagine them basically replacing the vanilla kobolds and making kobold thieves a legitimate source of hardship for dwarves rather than fodder for combat practice. Also might make the prospect of a savage kobold adventurer appealing.

Do you think it could work?
