I can consistently get to top 30-20 ish but I have this problem when the circle starts to close in and your running from tree to tree where I get fired at and have no idea which direction the shots are coming from
I swear it feels like I am always getting hit from 2 sides at once or I just caan't figure out where they are

Gas masks allows you to stay in it, but obstructs your vision, so you can't ADS or something.

I'm not sure if you're baiting or just retarded so I'll play it safe and assume the latter.

Learn how the game handles sound, as there are three for each shot. There's the crack/whiz sound as it flies by, the sound of it hitting your cover or the dirt behind you, and then the sound from the gun itself.

I, as others have also stated, don't have a problem telling the general direction they are coming from within about 30 or 40 degrees, then watch for movement or a muzzle flash to pinpoint. One thing I do to help myself is when they're firing, move your camera back and forth while they're shooting so you can tell when the sounds roll from ear to ear and from that quickly assess the general direction.

It seems like some of you need to learn to stay alert. Assume at all times that someone can at least see you, and possibly could take a shot. Think about all the times you see other players and don't act on it. How many times is that you who is being observed? Always be looking around before, during, and after you move. Use low hills and ridges like cover to one side as you move, and don't run along the top because then everyone can see you. Think in terms of reducing the amount of angles that you can be blindsided from.

After hearing the complaints my friends make after I see them in spectator being bad and making bad decisions, I'm less inclined to believe these things without video.

One friend in particular will camp a corner when scared, wait until the enemy turns the corner next to him, and then rage that he got killed by a point blank shotgun when he had "lined up a headshot". He can't get his head through how latency works and that he's supposed to step out of the corner before the enemy reaches it to shoot "first".

The decisions weren't really relevant in my case. I was prone in an open field and the guy was completely clueless just a couple meters away, standing in the open. I stood to crouch and got 5/6 shots off before he realized what was happening and started to shoot back. He obviously had better aim and got a couple headshots, but that doesn't make it feel any less bullshit.

trouble is rng, you can spawn in a city and search for 20-30 mins and find shit, if you land half a second too late your dead becuase some one got a gun before you, then other games you spawn and find shit loads of loot and breeze through the game there is very little consistancy, getting shot from miles off becuase they found a 4x or more and you only found a red dot, you dont stand a chance at fighting back, makes for a boring expierance, only to die and have to jump back into a lobby which takes another 3-4 mins of sluggish time wasting, although h1z1 is trash they have a much better loot system you know where ever you spawn theres likly to be a gun that is viable, just a shame that game is trash, even after the optamization

Trying to make it all tournament like would be bad... You play the game because it's actually pretty casual, and you can still win, despite not being the ultimate aiming pro. Maybe it would be ok if there were some sponsored players, but I absolutely don't want to see esports teams in this game.

Somebody who is completely unknown, has no sponsorship, making it into one of those finals in a tournament, would be so much fun for that person. For others it'd be fun, because they know that they could possibly make it to a final tournament. I'm fine with that. I agree that the first rounds are rather leisurely. But by the time you get to circle 3 and beyond, you often don't even have time to really fight. I wouldn't mind shortening the early game but giving players more time to get into tactical engagements in the late rounds.
