Can we praise Crush 40 for the billionth time? Their music made some of my favorite final boss experiences in gaming, from Perfect Chaos to Metal Overlord. Hell I think Time Eater would have been a hundred times more bearable if there was a unique Crush 40 song for the fight. Is there no chance of seeing them work on a Sonic again?

Finally got around to finishing SA2, because for some reason I'm late as fuck (was always a strictly Playstation guy).

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Sonic and Shadow stages are great fun, Tails and Eggman shooting stages were somehow really fun as well. Hell, I even liked the Emerald Hunts (still my least favorite style, but I enjoyed them playing through the story - Mad Space is a bitch). They really tried to make it worth your time too, since the entire story is pretty long, and then there's even the boss rushes and the tons of sidemissions. I really appreciate the sidestuff like that, especially the Chao Garden which has an asston of depth.

The story was also seriously good. A little cheesy at times in part due to the varying quality of the voice acting and cutscenes, but it was genuinely interesting to see how everything unfolded with the two storylines.

This is very superficial but I really love how each playstyle had its own musical style too, with the high speed rock music for the speed levels, the weird synth-y rock for the shooting segments, and the jazz/rap for the emerald hunts. It's still rather flawed in some areas but I really see why people love it now.

I'm really not sure who to blame, Bioware, Penders, Sega, Archie it seems like all of them fucked up as big as they possibly could. Silver was saved from this fate because he was already set for rivals by the time of 06's development, In fact, I think they revealed rivals around the same time as that game, the other echinda's being a rival clan for Tikal's dad at least made sense as to why the guy was so desperate to control both chaos and the master emerald. It still bothers me that the clan got genocided thousands of years ago so what happened to the rest of them? Surely some must have survived for Knuckles to exist and if they did how come they're gone but Knuckles is not? As he's constantly said, he's the last of his race, he's been alone all his life until the day the Death Egg crashed on Angel Island forcing it into the sea and he met Eggman,Sonic and Tails. Then again, the origins of Sonic and Tails themselves is muggy,too. All we know about them is that Sonic was born on Christmas Island, was running around one day when Eggman first showed up and started turning animals into robots. All we know about Tails is that the fox saw Sonic fixing his plane then started messing with it himself and that flashback in SA1

Tails was born on West Side Island with a genetic defect, giving him two tails. He was bullied by the animals there, and was sad and alone until he saw Sonic run by.
