I think in the eventual remake of p5, a good way to round out the events with the cast would to have other student social links. It felt weird that Mishima was the only non-PT in your group in Hawaii. I think a Shiho and another new classmate social link (a dude) would help round the group out a bit. The biggest giveaway for me though was the fact that he had no upcoming Confidant abilities. At Rank 9 and 10 you have your teammates protecting you from a fatal blow, and their Persona evolves to a stronger form. Since Akechi had neither of those, that should have been the biggest giveaway (if the others weren't big enough) that there was something very wrong.

Like I get that Joker might have trouble recalling Shido since it was late at night (and I'm assuming Shido somehow didn't show up in court since he had ways of ensuring his name wouldn't be mentioned, though I'm still not sure how this all works) but the player can see and hear like "oh it's that bald asshole from the start of the game".

When I saw him again at the fancy diner place I thought "oh it's this guy again, I guess he's important" and surely enough, he ended up being the main villain. Maybe if they didn't give him a portrait during the flashback (showing that Joker wouldn't be able to tell his face right away, but could still sort of recognize his voice) then it could have been a bit better but otherwise it was just kind of... alright.

I'd be more concerned with how to make Akechi into a better twist.

Play that dungeon again. Literally every puzzle and scripted event has Makoto explaining what the puzzle is and how to solve it, followed by all your teammates sucking her dick for being so smart.

It was shit then, so it would be shit now? How so? P5 has a lot of tropes that were shit in P3 or P4, but are done quite well here.

Morgana doesn't know everything, but why does Makoto know more? She's smart and logical, sure, but the Metaverse doesn't operate according to logic and the laws of the real world, still Makoto knows everything about it anyways.

Her fucking up ROYALLY is still spun as something good she did because the party is suddenly too retarded to figure out a solution despite having Ohya as a resource, so the party says it doesn't matter that Makoto fucked up because it solved the immediate problem.

Joker was in on the plan for the previous two cards, he knew what was going to happen and when. For Kaneshiro he just gets ordered by Makoto to go home, so he runs off and we all get a day wasted for literally nothing.

It's far more blatant and obvious shipping than any other girl gets.

I was spoiled with the true ending requirements which were simple and vauge "never sell out your friends"

So I asusmed that the game was trying to fuck me, and that there were no traitors. Especially because, once Goro joined, the fucker had a weapon type, multiple battle quotes, gear that I found for him in a dungeon, a splash screen for an all out attack AND mementos dialogue. The fact that the fucker is on the cover of the game sealed the deal for me. The game convinced me that there was no traitor, and that it was a redherring to get you to doubt everyone.

You, the player, are saying she caused a problem. The PT don't speak a single harsh word to her.

She gets instantly loved by her sister again, nobody in the PT says anything negative about her, and the principal just leaves her alone because she did her strong independent woman thing.

Except she's not shitty at social interactions at all, at least not in any way that makes her unlikable or poses any sort of problem for her superbrain.

Futaba experiences severe problems in her life from her character flaws, Makoto doesn't and her whole SLink is solving another character's problems.

She catches them because the PT immediately give up and surrender to her and can think of no way to escape except to do whatever she says because she so smart and perfect.

Futaba is essential to the team, so is everyone at one point or another, but only Makoto gets constant dick sucking as she explains every problem to the PT and comes up with almost every solution.

The entire PT doesn't immediately start sucking Haru's dick, and Haru doesn't solve every problem in the dungeon, so no Makoto still has worse introduction.

The player solves the puzzles, but Makoto tells you what the puzzles are and how to solve them. And all the PT comment on how smart she is every time.

You have two choices: either congratulate Makoto, or congratulate everyone and have the game say you should have congratulated Makoto. The fact that she acts humble doesn't prevent it from being a fake choice that tries to force the player to join in the Makoto dick sucking competition.

Having a tragic backstory is a common trait of almost all Mary Sues, this isn't a debatable thing, it's literally part of the definition.

It's completely OOC because Sae never does anything like that again, and we never see an explanation as to why she was like that.
