Not entirely and you know it. Shaper is still a DPS check, and his check gets more strict the less life you have.

You can't walk into his boss room with white armor and TAS-tier dodging and positioning abilities and kill him. Even with 6k life you still need really, really, really good gear and a lightning fast movement skill (god help you if you aren't using whirling blades) to actually win since he has what might as well be an enrage mechanic.

VP in general should disable flasks. It's the strongest node on the entire tree because it basically has no downsides. The only thing regen is good for is supplementing leech in the case that you haven't taken VP. But if you have taken VP, there's no NEED for regen any more.

I see the logic of it: differentiating between "Area Damage" and "damage that coincidentally happens to affect an area." Essentially co-opting an existing term and refining it into a new Key Word. This means that certain skills and effects that deal Area Damage under the new terminology can have special modifiers without affecting every effect in the game with an AOE radius.

The important part of this, though, is divorcing Poison, Bleed, and Ignite effects from their parent tags of Area and Projectile. Every time I go into this general and read the word "meta", "trading", "blade flurry", "clear speed", "Headhunter", so on and so on, I make sure to thrust my giant vibrating dildo one to three times to punish myself accordingly for tainting my TESSFHC experience. I've stolen at least a dozen credit cards from my parents to pay for the 3,250 normal stash tabs that I have to show my support for GGG and the true hardcore game that they have developed. So uhh i tried Phoenix for the second time ever now. I'm playing LL RF Guardian, so babby neverdie build.
Anyway, both times i've tried him, i've just been able to get him to ~50%hp and at that part he starts oneshotting me and i have 13k ES and 4.5k Armor.
Is there any secret to him? I guess it's an easy fight, as in just dodge all his shit, but his damage is so annoyingly high.

you can group with friends fine if you want, but if you want automated matchmaking or instance-joining (like marvel heroes has), then you would get someone wanting to clear entire areas paired with people who who just rush to the objective and people in-between, and someone would always be unhappy with the experience

The performance in groups is actually quite alright UNTIL maps. maps is where grouping performance shits the bed because everyone has 5L+ skills going off and all the laggy map mods.

So, only give the group buffs outside of maps. By making progress a buff in groups it introduces players to potentially making a map buddy.

The whole point is they should encourage grouping through act/story progress through exp and item buffs to players in group radius and loot tension just like in closed beta to encourage grouping through the boring act progress. Then in maps, remove the bonus. There's already good reason to group in maps. Not necessary there. Only in act progress.

Reminder that life is actually fine and doesn't need buffed, it's sources of damage mitigation are just bad. Improve life damage mitigation and remove Vaal Pact and the game is balanced.

Fucking christ. I'd rather have a month of flashback than another month of legacy, and they're basically the same thing. At least flashback has variety. Legacy is just running the same 3 leaguestones over and over.

I've come to develop a sort of "theory of what makes a good league" over the last few leagues.

1. Inventory management is at a minimum, but there are still currency items to collect. Something between Breach and Legacy is perfect. Talisman and Essence are too much.
2. There are challenging end-bosses or uber-enemies to fight (specific to that league).
3. These bosses / enemies drop special items that cannot be obtained in other ways.
4. Special equipment on-par with or better than rares can be obtained from the league mechanic.

Basically the only leagues which pass this completely are Breach, Prophecy, and arguably Perandus. Talisman would have worked if not for the inventory problem. Essence would have worked if there were some sort of end boss.

Considering that people hated Prophecy so much, there must be something I'm missing.

Legacy is such a lazy fucking league. It barely even changes anything. 90% of the things it adds are already in Standard, they had to fucking remove the Zana mods so that the endgame would look different at all. And the magic stones have zero fucking interesting mods. They seriously couldn't think of anything else to add?

And then there's the Ancient RNG Key, which is just a random drop not tied to the league mechanic and which doesn't fucking give you anything good even if you buy 500 of them.

Really looking forward to the next league. Hopefully they can get anywhere near the perfection of Breach.

Also, you can't sustain your favorite league on your own while mapping, to do that you have to trade and pay roughly the same cost as zana mods except you have to engage in (((Player Interaction)))

But also, bleed now does more damage even when standing still, right? So bleed monsters are substantially more dangerous. Which is about fifty fucking percent of monsters since GGG slapped puncture on every act 4 and ranged monster.

You already necessarily had to have bleed immunity and they just buffed monsters that apply it. Next up? Shocked ground now caused triple shock which means you take 150% more damage! After that? Curse effectiveness from map mods and monsters increased effectiveness 150%! Balanced.

there are more than enough for most leagues, I think they just don't want people having too much fun with them and doing some crazy Breach + Beyond + Onslaught and getting a metric fuckton of loot.

Legacy is(was) fucking awful. Leagestone micromanagement alone makes the league shit, doesn't help that 90% of the stones you find are generic trash with nothing interesting + reliquary keys are shit and realistically you would never break even using them.

I kept hearing that legacy is a great league or really fun and I'm just stunned with these people. Like really? You enjoying picking up crumbs of shit, examining it for a few seconds, then eating three of them every 5 maps? EVERY FIVE FUCKING MAPS?

The league would have been more enjoyable if the leaguestones dropped less often but lasted much longer, like 30~ maps ATLEAST.

Tone down the OP blue mods and make every leaguestone drop blue. Change the reroll recipe to 2>1 instead of 3>1 or just let us reroll them with alts and augs. Or hell, a special currency drop that lets you reroll them. Make it as rare as an alch/fuse/chaos and let them stack to 50~.

And lastly / most generic suggestion, add more mods to the stones.

There, legacy went from a Tshit league to a 'I guess this league is ok'.

And on a semi-side note how fucking hard is it for GGG to simply patch league mechanics throughout the league? They're so fucking slow with league mechanic changes or they're just scared to do it. Imagine if they added a few new mods, or tweaked the league slightly with a small patch every 1 - 2 weeks throughout this league... It would just make things more interesting why do they have to wait 3 fucking months to revise their shitty deadline paced ideas. It doesn't even have to be big changes just small numerical tweaks to make the leagues more palpable.

Don't even get me started on talisman / prophecy holy shit I would have rather they just not released any content at all than release content that is at it's core fundamentally frustrating to play with for 1 - 3 months at a time.

They could have gone fucking CRAZY with the leaguestone stuff. They could have had a whole "time" theme for the league, had you travel through "legacy zones" which are filled with weird old mods and altered league mechanics and where everything is fucking sepiatoned to eventually kill "Nosliw, the Progenitor of Antiquity" for a reliquary key that would give you legacy items as well as a bunch of cool new items. They could have done so much more with the concept.

But they didn't, because really it wasn't supposed to be a big special league, it was a holdover while they focused their efforts on 3.0.

Cyclone pathfinding is getting fixed, but it's bullshit "stuck in animations" still remains. It should just play the animation as long as you hold down the mouse, then when you let go it stops.
