I don't think the game, as it is, necessarily fails at anything other than performance issues (which is huge), but it has a low of mechanics that are just simply bad. They get balanced out on the whole by the positive experiences the game does have, but it's obvious what the next steps should be - trying to eliminate those negatives while amplifying the positives.

I think PUBG is the perfect early access title. It's exactly the sort of game that EA should be, but it needs to do a lot to get out of this. So far we have had some pretty shoddy performance patches, some weird design choices (Why did Crossbows vanish from loot tables for awhile again?) and a number of things that need to be fixed which I'm not sure it will. I think one problem to consider as well is, the Vector being added addressed a pretty big issue with the availability of .45 SMG's, but is this the reason why he added it? Or did he do it because it's a cool looking gun he thinks players would want? We don't know.

Time will tell if PU will fuck up his creation or not.

I will say while "fixing" this issue isn't really all that difficult (especially with how many players are in PUBG right now)... It's not a GAME issue. Stream Sniping is not really something the "game" has to worry about. This is a problem that twitch could easily solve by increasing the delay on the stream from 15 seconds to 1 minute (or giving streamers the tools to do it)

I find a lot of the fights in this game distressingly similar to shit I've seen on Liveleak. It's one of the things that makes the game exciting. Hearing distant gunshots cut off suddenly with a kill message always gives me a twinge of fear.

The SCAR and the 416 will actually climb irregularly in F/A and simply popping off one round in F/A has a worse recoil effect in Iron sight/Scope view than semi.
The AK's recoil climb is less irregular but overall recoil is increased.
I keep it on F/A when clearing buildings/urban environments when I know I will need to quickly suppress and diddy mao into cover and am mostly in 3rd person anyway.
Compensator and suppressor changes this dynamic drastically and makes F/A more managable at medium range

SMG's stay on F/A, period. I suppose an exemption could be the vector (Powerful, shit stock mag capacity, extremely high ROF). A short burst on F/A from a UMP is extremely accurate and effective and the SMG is certainly capable to 200m

Semi literally for everything else. I generally don't even bother with the M16A4's burst setting, although it's not bad for a blazing fast mag dump - the M16 is the fastest semi in the game anyway
I've been fucked more times by unanticipated F/A than unanticipated Semi.
Rapid semi automatic fire is more effective for suppession at medium distance
