Only one that looks somewhat interesting is Croixleur Sigma, but I never heard of it before.

Croixleur is a decent action game on the cheap. You assign different weapons to the face buttons to basically custom build your own combos and work your way through arenas on a timer. It's definitely a budget title but there's a little something to it, not a bad buy if you're into the genre and have a bit of money to spare.

Had to boot it up because it's been a while since I played. It's pretty standard fare with basic attacks, specials and dashes comprising up the bulk of basic play. Using a weapon's special attack changes the weapon you're using for basic strikes as well and nearly every action depletes a stamina bar but it recovers pretty quickly so there's a reasonable flow without anything getting too OP. You can also level up weapons the more you use them and unlock characters and accessories with effects so yeah, you can prettify the loli a little bit but doing so actually does something. Overall, it works fine for what it is. Nothing supremely special as far as third person action games go but it's not a bust either. Pretty good for short bursts of play as well.

I picked up Croixleur Sigma during a previous sale and it became one of my favorite "in-between" titles to play to refresh myself before jumping into another long-haul game.

Pretty much an anime arena-brawler where you assign weapons to the face buttons and use their special properties / weapons to create combos. You can also create load-outs and other small customization things like decorating your character (of four available) with stuff.

It's really nice and a good, cheap title for mindless fun.

OLED screen looks nicer than the LCD. LCD isn't bad, it's just the OLED is better.
The LCD model has better shoulders, bigger and easier to press PS button, start and select, is thinner, lighter, better contours for holding it for long periods, and has about an hour longer battery.
If they were both new and at the same price I'd probably say go for the OLED, but if they're both used then go for the 2k since any OLED is 1-2 years older than any 2k, and their OLED screen would likely be less vibrant after being used for years compared to when they were new.

It's not a game you need to grind in either. You can pass most enemies except those guarding treasure boxes and be well levels and have enough skill points. Skip as many enemies as you can. You will run in to enough to level you even trying to avoid them.

Every time I'm reminded of it being digital only, I think of back when I spoke to that one Atlus PR dude who stated they don't really expect to sell more than ~20k units for NA and EU combined so it wasn't viable for them to do a physical run.

This release is essentially a budget-release of a game that sold decently in Japan, so it'll be pure profit at a really low mark (~5k units).

There were some licensing issues surrounding LRG and Caligula which made it more trouble than it was worth. At least that was the official reason back when it was announced for digital only in NA.

LRG prefers a small run (3 - 7k units) so if someone wants more than that they pass them up. Most likely what happened is

The reviews of Caligula are averaging 7/10 rounded down.
Overall a solid entry and a good choice to pick up if you're into RPGs.

Someone described the overwhelming amount of skills as "turn-based devil may cry" where large combos draw out more EXP, so there isn't a need to be efficient in this game with DPS.

Pretty much feels like Caligula is aiming for style, which it does pretty well.

People forget, but it was slated for a late 2017 release even during the campaign run.
We already voted for the artwork for Vita and the special edition boxes and stuff, and according to an update a little while ago, they prepped everything so that when the translation is completely finished they can just shove it into the Vita version and send it out.

Remember when you guys said there would be no golden week sale?

So I think it’s time to talk about the battle system, which is one of the most interesting and easily broken systems I’ve played in an RPG, but still finds a way to be fun after many hours of fighting. Battle are initiated by running into an enemy in a dungeon, but unlike other Vita RPGs there is no loading screen into the battle. Seen in games like the new Star Ocean 5, the battle begins wherever the enemy is encountered on the map, which is handled quite well on the Vita’s hardware. However, at times there can be short, extended load times when exiting the battle.

Players are able to execute three actions for each character per turn if they have enough SP. Once an attack is selected you’re able to see the outcome of the attack and how the enemy will react after. So in theory, it’s possible to have your characters execute 12 actions, perfectly timed, while avoiding any enemy contact. Even though this battle system is one of the coolest and unique RPG systems I’ve ever played, it can be taken advantage during most encounters.

The main mission of the game is to search through the various dungeons and find these Ostinatos who are creating μ’s songs and put a stop to them. The music is actually quite good and each song ends up getting stuck in your head as you’re fighting and running around the map. But that’s basically it for the main premise, learn about a new Ostinatos and stop him by defeating him in battle. Depending on your level, it’s possible to defeat these bosses in one action if you time your attacks right, which I must admit feels cool, but doesn’t do well to satisfy some of the masochist JRPG players out there.
