Does Blizzard not understand their own fights? Augur, Elisande and Guldan all have gotten these nerfs and it's just the completely wrong way because in all those cases they effectively rob these encounters of "crunch time", the only time when your mastery over the mechanics really mattered.

Crunch time was at the end of each phase as the mechanics of that phase started to compound on another to the point of a soft enrage. The difficulty came by pushing him with your DPS into the next phase before your raid became overwhelmed.
Completely made irrelevant after the health nerf because you push him so fast through the phases, you never hit critical mass when all hell breaks loose and you really gotta perform.

Similar story here. With every circle remaining for the rest of the fight, from the very start it's a race to push her phases before you end up with too many rings to handle down the road. After the health nerfs it's gonna be a fucking stroll to finish p1 with only 2 or even just 1 ring.

You needed some serious DPS to get the perfect p2 transition (skipping the empowered eye and a bunch of felfires) and then again serious DPS to push into p3 with hero and skip a tough overlapping of abilities. With this health nerf again, it's too easy.

I'm honestly glad I cleared all the bosses that got hit hard with the nerfbat (Aluriel, Augur, Elisande, Guldan) before it happened. 5% sounds like a minor change on paper but they almost completely change the dynamics of these encounters.

These HP nerfs completely change encounters, I can't stress this enough. Augur is my opinion hit the hardest, that was a great encounter but after the nerfs you never fucking see it because the key moments of the fights are skipped every fucking phase.

Augur had too high DPS requirements, I agree, but what I would have changed is make the hard enrage way more lenient.
Pushing him 5% faster into fel phase and then again 5% faster into the final phase simply robs the encounter of like half its complexity.
No longer do you need to care where you drop your frost orbs because you change phases so fast, you're never even close to running out of space again. Don't need to save BL for p2 because you just push him anways. Don't need to kill 2 adds and then make a desperate last stand tanking the third because the boss fucking drops halfway through the second.

I like Frost because it plays really smoothly, and has the best artifact weapon in the game. It's easier to play though. If you like specs that have a lot of micromanagement, unholy is for you. I like to play Frost on difficult content and Unholy on boring content like LFR. I switch between them for questing.
