I have never played KoF, but are you trying to link both motions (like, you start by doing the first one and since you're starting the QCF you go immediately into the second one) or do you reset the movement (you do the first motion, then start down again to do the second one)
If you're doing the latter, try the first way. Also, I don't know if it'll work, but try to keep HP pressed until you get all the motions and then release it.

Aight, as someone who just pulled themselves out of the proverbial drudge recently, there's something I want to point out to you that isn't really well explained about the nature of cancels.

It's stupid simple, but for some it doesn't register as plainly. When people talk about cancels cancelling the recovery frames of an attack, that means you literally have to end and input during the recovery frames of that attack, not earlier.

So if an attack 8 startup, 2 active, 6 recovery, this means that you have 10 frames to do the initial motions and then you have to press the button that makes the game register the attack during that 6 frame window, preferably during that first frame. If you press the button during the active or start up frames, depending on the game, it most likely won't come out. However, for specific combos and cancels, this also means that the trial could be asking for you to hit that button during any of those 6 frames, but it obviously won't tell you which, it's all about timing. Sometimes you're doing things too late or too early, but sometimes you're cancelling it, but not on the right frame for that particular follow up attack to connect. It just depends.

For example, in Leona's trials, they aren't hard, but they are very demanding about you getting those air hand cancels off on the very first frame available, that attack has a billion recovery frames, but only the first couple are in the right position time wise and height wise for the next attack to come out.

Start thinking about your cancels as 'windows' you have to hit, but nothing is going to make things obvious with trials except trial (kek) and error or watching someone do it online to really help it click.

Once you get really good, you'll naturally see the recovery frames on most attacks in most games which is why veterans can jump into a completely new game/character and immediately start exploring for combo's.

Also, don't feel bad about asking for help.

They really need to reduce the overall damage output for the entire roster.

It was okay back when the game was new, but now I feel like it's too high.

If they don't want to reduce the damage for many moves they can do simple but game-shaking changes like removing the locked CA damage output at 50% and make it scale for another 10% just like another attack in the same combo. By doing so you'll reward players for using CA in shorter combos and hit-confirms rather than have beast damage after relatively long combos.

While he's right that NRS animations are generally bad, I feel like he's so nitpicky at times he sees wrong stuff even when the animations aren't as bad.

For example, when he complains about Scorpion's stance animation in MKX he makes no sense, because the animation in that point looks fine.

In general, I meant that besides GG and similar, there are not many options for PC-EU to get games. It's not like I haven't tried, but I can't be bothered to beg games in a Discord or similar. I think it's mostly long and weird haircuts and long clothes that tend to generate clipping issues.

For example, Ryu's hair doesn't suffer from clipping, nor does Chun's, Juri's, Nash's etc.

I put the example of USFIV, but I've used Discord to find games in the past and nothing. The Discords feel more like old mIRC, more about talking whatever than to actually talk about fighting games or get games in. I've even asked for games here.
