I don't see how this is a problem considering that I'm pretty sure the event in question is a CG event. And at this point really, CG has established itself as it's own independent thing.

I'm more concerned about that in regards to the MLs. There are some hipsters who only dabble in ML for the OGs. If you're talking about the shadow of the OGs looming over them and people treating them as side acts, then it's the MLs that are feeling the full blunt of that.

I feel like ML songs kind of run together sometimes for me. I mean if you look at the songs I like (Makabe, Roco) they're ones with a strong sense of character to them, unlike say Shizuka and Shiho. I suppose they do that to make it easier for there to be covers. You could probably have a lot of idols sing Precious grain. In contrast I feel CG songs have more character to them, they may not be as technically accomplished but you really feel the character coming through in them. That's probably why I prefer CG songs to ML ones.
