All joking aside, I doubt you'd regret it. I've actually had a golden shield slam (got it from a rank 5 reward, it was my 2nd shield slam so I kept it) since forever. When un'goro came around I ended up eventually dusting it for my 2nd megasaur because I realized I literally hate and never play warrior, ever (started in Naxx), and I'd rather be able to play my favorite class Paladin instead. Got to rank 5 this season with that deck and have no regrets.

Ultimately what you have to ask yourself is what makes this game fun for you. Priest is actually extremely powerful right now because of shadow visions and Lyra, and you know what anon? Doesn't sound like you're having any fun playing warrior.

That's too bad, but if you get into arena it should hopefully get better over time. It was easier to be f2p back in the day, arena rewards were better, even. I remember getting the first wing of Naxx for free and then pouring literally all of the gold I got afterwards into getting every Naxx wing ASAP and then I could just make deathrattle decks for every single class to complete dailies easily.

As long as you have at least 1 deck that can get you to rank 5 every month for the free 400 dust you should be fine though. I'm f2p but I've been playing since Naxx so I have plenty of decks I can play. Focus on Classic.

Conquest punishes deck diversity WAY harder than LHS does. You have to play every deck but if you decide to bring a niche counterqueue deck you may not be able to win consistently with it.. LHS leaves open sweeps but it's the overall better format imo and rewards more creative lineups/teching. Gwent is too different for me. The whole play cards to try to get more points and win two rounds just doesn't feel fun to me. IDK you might get used to to it after awhile.

I play weeb-verse in addition to Hearthstone and used to enjoy yugioh/magic/pokemen/DBZ card games as a kid. Mostly I play HS cause I've already invested so much time/money and starting other card games is daunting. I started playing weeb-verse at teh start of the month and I can only play cheap un-optimized aggro decks.

Warlock is that bad. It has absolutely no efficient way of dealing with taunts thanks to the removal of PO, loss of Paddler and Imp Gang Boss. And expansion added a shitload of powercreeped taunts. Unless you have the perfect draw, you can just give up the moment your opponent summons a 5/6 health taunt.

I was expecting a lot worse

I played Hearthstone a bit some months ago. Really liked the game, even with absolutely no experience with card games. But when the Old Gods expansion came in, I felt the game took a turn to worse, I had a lot of stuff going on and stopped playing.
Now, I have some more time, but still am a filthy casual. I got two questions:
How is the current state of the game? Anything I should know?
And, can I have a good time playing it having a limited number of hours per week? I can play around 1~2 hours per day and some more hours per weekend. Should I just play something else or can I have a good experience with the game with this routine?

The game is in the healthiest state it's been in a long time. There are ample significant budget decks right now, but an equal amount of meta decks with 5+ legendaries so craft carefully (some decks can function without their leggos, while things like Finja are crucial to the deck).

1-2 hours is more than many people here play the game honestly. Reminder that Priest literally farms mage now, it's glorious

The state of the game is pretty shit at higher levels with lots of aggro running around, but lower ranks are pretty decent with people still trying shit. The game will gradually get worse as more people start netdecking cancer though, just like with every new set.

You can easily play the game casually. Its a mobile game. Its pretty much designed to be played an hour a day.

Do your daily quests and get get primarily classic packs for a while. Do the tavern brawls once a week for a free pack. Don't push too hard into arena or ranked if you don't feel comfortable. You only need to hit rank 20 each month to get a cardback.

Thanks for the answer, anon. I remember I really liked the Priest meta, just retaliating anything people threw at you and buffing some shitty mob for a one hit kill. Was also trying to use some nasty aggro shaman to rank up, probably got to around rank 15.
What would you recommend me, as a newbie again? I'll probably start playing tomorrow. I don't really remember which adventures I have. I probably have BlackRock and Naxx complete.

If you like that aspect of priest you would probably love this deck. You may not have played then, but it is very reminiscent of the old archetype Handlock, it plays a board control game until you can make absolutely massive minions to crush them. It's a good deck, but it's very hard to play so it will take some time to get used to. Lyra can be replaced with a Cabal Songstealer as a budget stand-in, it's still a big body that helps your game plan

Forgot to mention that Purify is a Kharazan adventure card and fairly important, and that BRM and Naxx just rotated out of Standard. As for general budget options, the usual go-tos would be Midrange Hunter and Token Druid, but decks such as Pirate Warrior (Patches) and Crystal Rogue (Patches and Rogue Quest) require few expensive cards as an investment. Here's a poverty Elemental Shaman list if you want to play a hard anti-aggro deck that loses to everything else.

If you want guides on how to play, my best advice is to read the beginner guides on the Hearthstoneplayers website, they have literal no dust lists if you're at that point. The decks I've posted are easy to reach for, though.

This is a good list, you can replace Leeroy with another Rhino or a Nesting Roc, and Rat Pack with a Vicious Fledgling or a Jungle Panther. This stuff is almost all common cards.

Kara is the only adventure in standard, and the last one they will make. They are switching to all xpacs from here on. It's 700 gold per wing, but you get a large amount of expensive cards with it if you want to work towards it, it will be in Standard for another year.

I'm at legend, and this is probably least aggressive the meta has been in a long time. It's mostly midrange(midpally, midhunter, jade drood), control (taunt warrior, control mage) and Quest Rogue filing the combo quota. Pirate Warrior and Aggro druid aren't rare, but they get bullied around by taunt warrior and crab tech.

Honestly, the meta is pretty well-rounded at the moment. Lots of classes seeing play in every style on the spectrum. The only weak class right now is Warlock, and Zoo isn't as terrible as you might think. The only thing that feels oppressive right now is quest rogue and control mage imo.

Shooting quasar dragon's summon conditions aren't exactly easy though.

Some people dust them all without hesitating, some don't. My personal opinion is that I enjoy playing Wild from time to time, so I abstain from dusting the good meta cards (Dr, Boom, Sludge Belcher) while meme and bad cards can go.

You should feel safe about dusting Maexxna, Rend Blackhand, Feugen and Stalagg (they SOMETIMES see play in greedy N'Zoth decks), Majordomo Executus, etc. at the least

Midapally is much more proactive, and the murlocs can just win games on their own with the right curve. Also, WotG didn't have Funkeeper Terry.
