Oh I doubt that. They've used Akechi before this since they were rusing him the entire time during Sae's palace. The PT knew how strong and valuable Goro is as a teammate that he would be very useful to take down Shido. Fighting amongst each other makes zero sense when they could just be fighting a common enemy instead. Haru and I think Futaba have already expressed they would never forgive him.
Also, just letting Goro go would be a bad idea, and of course they don't kill so they wouldn't just let him die there. Asking him to join really is the best and safest option I my opinion.
