Sorry, I thought I had posted about it before.

I have been experimenting with Sex/BDSM mods and while it has been very fun they tend to make the game all about them.

There are a couple of slavery mods, the most famous being Sanguine's Debauchery, and they are fun once or twice and they would be fun as one-time quests maybe but instead they tend to happen way too often. Have fun losing an hour of your time (or cheating) to get out of slavery. I guess it would be fun for a hardcore RPer but eh.

Same for Prison Overhaul (makes things happen while being in prison like being taken to a pillory, jailed with another prisoner as fun for nobles, etc). It's fun to watch once or twice but in a normal-ish playthrough it completely destroys the pacing of the game since everything takes forever and after the first time it's just busy work.

In the end I ended up deleting most of those mods and leaving only cursed loot.

Deviously Cursed Loot (traps containers, doors, ingredients, etc with bondage gear) has the same problems by default, it has stupid high percentages for everything including its boring sex/slavery quests, and why would a flower be cursed with bondage gear anyway? But it's _extremely_ configurable so I set it up to only enable traps on containers in dungeons with low probabilities of happening, disable death and get transported to an inn or robbed (instead of the boring get hogtied in the middle of nowhere quest it includes), etc. Basically changing everything to make that kind of thing a bad thing to happen for my _character_ and something I want to avoid only because of that instead of being simply boring busy-work for _me_.

Now instead of being SEXRYM, the game of sex and maybe adventuring sometimes, now it's a normal (if modded) game of Skyrim with fun consequences if I screw up because the world is fucked up.

In the end I'm probably going to end up deleting the sexmods but for now it's a lot of fun.

You probably set up the outfit wrong or didn't do it at all.
If that's not it, and if it uses a custom race, try going into her race window and set the morph to a vanilla race.

Just create a new Outfit, name it whatever, open it and drag and drop the bits you want from the armors tab. Then just select that outfit in the inventory tab of your follower, up near the top middle. You can then delete the items included in the outfit from their inventory below.

So I just played that forgotten city mod.
It was pretty good. Voice acting was at least on par with the rest of the game so it felt like it could have been there from the start, if not for the voiced books and notes

I generally mod the fuck out of Skyrim, get bored before I actually experience most of the modded content, and end up uninstalling after a week or two. Literally spend more time adding mods than I actually play in some instances.

As for the attention span problem: make a character with actual goals and interests, don't just do all the quests. Limit yourself to 1 guild, for example. Make your characters growth be more like a quest than a game mechanic: don't make the gear that makes your character yours obtainable straight away, work for it for a long time. Try making a character whose personality heavily contrasts yours.

So apparently some background program firing up caused my game to kind of stroke out on itself.

I fired three arrows over the span of maybe 12 or so seconds. The first two no arrow came out. Upon firing the third it triggered a super laggy killcam and resulted in pic related. All three hitting simultaneously.

I Roleplay while I play. Nice music in the background, take screenshots of interesting locations, and compositions whenever I'm walking around, share it on Twitter, and play with some defined goal.

Right now I'm playing with Warzones 2015, Immersive Patrols, and shit like that to make the world feel more alive, and I try not to fast travel if I can help it.

As far as Melee Combat. I went with Ultimate Combat, TK Dodge, Vigor, Combat Evolved. and Revenge of the Enemies. Combat is fukkin brutal sometimes, and other times unfair. But when it works without gimping you its a blast.

Is there a way to restrict what items I can take? I want my character to be completely unable to handle metal weapons/armor and autodrop them if I use take all or if I pick up one by accident.

I forgot how hard it is to make a normal man in Skyrim. The vacuum sealed mouth really seals the difficulty deal.
