Oh, to those who can craft Rods of the Shaded Mesa, you can use it to deflect arrows from firing Skeletons and get rid of stray Ghast Fireballs and Wither Skull projectiles. Curiously, it sucks in those stray projectile entities from a distance that's way bigger than its effective range on mobs. As soon as you get them close, you can just stick them to the ground to explode. Voila, no more stray floating entities.

Also, if you're feeling extra sadistic, you can feed your pet Hungry Node by playing Minecraft basketball and chucking mobs into it.

So does the antique atlas mod work with minimaps like Xaero's? I love the look of it but I'd only use it for decorative purposes honestly.

I just tried playing Tinker's Construct, and I'm a little conflicted. I like the idea of actually having to cast metal and assemble a tool from its component parts, and I think it's great to finally be able to make arrowheads from anything other than flint (fuck mojang's artificial arrow scarcity desu famalam).

However, it's really, really tedious to make stuff. First you have to make patterns- which can be used infinitely, so once you make all the part patterns you're essentially stuck with a bunch of blank patterns you don't fucking need and will never use unless you're needing to make new tables for another location.
It's just inelegant and clunky, you could probably eliminate the pattern table altogether and merge it with the part builder table.
Instead of making a pattern, dragging it into your inventory, putting it into the part builder, building your part, taking it back out again to put in another pattern, and ad infinitum; it would be a lot more streamlined to select a pattern via a button, pop in your material, and make the part that way. Hell, just eliminate the tool bench while you're at it and combine the tool parts on the regular crafting bench/crafting table supplied with the mod.

Also, the starting tier stone/nonmetal tools/weapons actually seem shittier and more bland than the vanilla ones, having less damage overall and too-similar stats. The hatchet/axe replacement has shit damage and meh swing speed, unlike the vanilla version which has very slow swing speed but does a lot more damage for every full swing, making it a good tool for slaughtering farm animals in one hit and killing risky single targets like the creeper in as few hits as possible. The regular sword is pretty much the same as vanilla but with lower damage.

tl;dr I like the idea of the mod a lot, but there are some major annoyances that I can't get my head around.
What are your thoughts/experiences on Tinker's Construct?
>>
>>175377203
>>175378136
It sounds like you'd essentially be playing as an NPC character.
The concept sounds interesting, but I think it might get old pretty quick.

You get tool and new craft mechanics complexity for a performance hit at all times, even if none of the content is being used. And you eventually craft cave-tunneling tools that regen and are good for the rest of the map run. Personally i liked the new aspect of gender fluid metals over ingots. It makes fluid piping somewhat more interesting than water, lava, fuel, etc. I dream of making a factory where the entire floor is the top of the forgery (FLOOR IS MOLTEN METALS).

If your willing to extend into 1.10.2; Heat and Climate does a bit of everything: food cooking, comfy housing blocks, torque mechanics, metal crafting, power, magic, mining, and climate affects. This is just one mod and its dependency; and the mod has a bit of mod support crossover (forestry, immersive engineering, railcraft, etc).

I will forever shill Heat&Climate mod.

Put the wiki in a translator:
http://defeatedcrow.jp/modwiki/HeatAndClimate
I HIGHLY recommend JEI , because the climate crafting are also included in the listings and you will be referencing the craft recipes for blocks often.

Tech Tree craft order: T1 Brass->T2 steel->T2-T3 Bunch of alloys (fluid proccessing equipment and then power generation). Each tier needs more heat.
Need the "hot furnace" to start (get 4 blaze rods), burner stove burns just as hot and recommend asap. To cook UHT you need to power the heat exchanger above a hot heat source.

Pixel Reality is breddy gewd, sort of reminds me of Isabella with the low-saturation low-contrast color scheme and melancholy, kind of rustic art style. Not to mention the fantastic colored lighting and deep darkness at night and underground. If you weren't afraid of the dark before, you definitely will be now. Getting caught out in the dark and facing a crowd of mobs in near absolute darkness, lit only by a flickering torch held in one hand and a sword in the other... it's pretty badass. Pixel Reality has a great atmosphere.
To anyone who uses this pack, I'd highly recommend getting Optifine so you can have dynamic lighting (light sources dropped or held in hand light up the surrounding area), because you are definitely going to need it.

My only problem with it is that the contrast is a little TOO low, when it comes to the items. The items are a muddy mess, it takes some time to get used to sorting out some items from the other. That, and since it deviates so much from the default art style, mods can tend to clash pretty heavily visually with it.
Overall though, it's fantastic. There's also a seperate resource pack so you can use the same lighting in other packs, which is cool.

A few quick questions-
What does it mean to build a modpack? Is it any different than just loading a bunch of mods up with Forge and Magiclauncher? I've never really used a modpack before, since my toaster-ass computer most likely can't handle it, but I'm curious.

>>175427978
for curse/ftb that's about it. for people who respct themselves you have to carfully check for recipe conflicts (and fix them with minetweaker), add compatibilities between mods where you see fit (+missing/fucked oredict), tweak ore spawning (to prevent having 4 types of copper ore in your inventory)...
so tl:dr: minetweaker fuckery and config fuckery
and if you want quests, there's some extra work to do

Concrete as a block is a normal block, but it can be used for automation more readily due to having the special property of going from a moveable sand to a floating block when wet
Like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3ZUdjdgvTY

From a purely functional standpoint, this is a "why not just build it by hand?" type thing, but the concepts going into it are neat.

If mojang ever decides to make containers moveable, like in PE, you could potentially devise full on automated building machines

No, it's autistic and this is 4chan's minecraft general. Expecting people to not be autistic here is a mistake.
There are a couple of modded serbs, they mostly use custom packs, check the server list, also there's a gregtech new horizons serb that's not on there IIRC.

Premade packs are just bad in general, you don't get any new mods or any unknown mods, like techguns, AMT, bamboomod, etc. and often get stuck with only "approved" mods.

Just started up a modpack for the first time and I'm thinking of getting my magic on. Which of these is a good mod to start out with?
Ars Magica 2
Thaumcraft 4
Witchery
Aura Cascade
or Blood Magic? Its 1.7.10 if that helps.
>>
>>175469331
Thaumcraft 4 is pretty accessible, def a good first
You want to get into Ars Magica asap as it requires rpg-like skillgrinding. But you will quickly be able to replace your need for tools with it.
Witchery has a lot of info, but you might still need to consult the wiki, and it's a bit convoluted and space consumptive. Try to get into it earlier and work your way in overtime
Blood Magic is a good bit grindy, and little convoluted. The only real info on it for a while was on the forum, which is now about the new data. Attempt blood magic once you have a way to heal yourself (ars magica is great for this) and can automate putting x amount of items into a 1 slot container (you will need TONS of slates from blood magic. Automating this is priority number 1)
>>

E+ is more than acceptable IMO, if you have other mods adding several enchants, that you can't add in a way like TC Infusion Enchanting. Vanilla's RNG just won't do it if you have mods like MoreEnchants or HxCEnchants in.
The config is relatively solid, allowing you to disable picking certain enchants, as well as changing xp cost factors and whether direct repairing is allowed. Can also add/change tooltips on the enchants so you know what they do/where they're from

Or just change the recipe because you hate yourself, like I did.
>//balance Eplus table
>recipes.remove(<eplus:item.tableUpgrade>);
>recipes.remove(<eplus:tile.advancedEnchantmentTable>);
>recipes.addShaped(<eplus:tile.advancedEnchantmentTable>, [[<minecraft:gold_block>, <gadomancy:BlockKnowledgeBook>, <minecraft:gold_block>], [<Automagy:blockRunedObsidian>, <ThaumicTinkerer:enchanter>, <Automagy:blockRunedObsidian>],[<Automagy:blockBookshelfEnchanted:1>, <minecraft:nether_star>, <Automagy:blockBookshelfEnchanted:1>]]);

Techguns add many mobs which use the mod guns, but in harsh biomes like desertsm ice biomes or roofed forests (overkill) they appear in hordes. Techguns does make combat more interesting, and Minefantasy2 makes combat a little more harder since you get tired, and zombies can block attacks when they have swords which is more common.

you could add another layer of protection by abandoning factions all together and burying the box underground so that you remove your /f map presence, but that only works if there's a /home command outside of factions
you also get nuked by xrays but building a considerable distance away from spawn might limit the amount that happens
i dig the box though, very compact and handy building that's nice looking to boot

Thanks to the anon for recommending Heat and Climate its super comfy (even though some random items appear to be useless at the moment)
For anyone else who picks it up if you come across the unique spawn dont build directly in it. I left and came back and it restored itself back to its previous worldgen state. Dumped out chests full of shit and deleted everything I had placed where it stood. So now its a big shack in the middle of my factory.
>>
>>175547517
get multimc, make a new instance
download mods from the curse site, minecraft forums or JP forum
cram everything in the mod folder
>>
>>175547858
Do you have to start a new world or can you add mods to existing progress?
>>
>>175548082
you can add new mods to an existing world, however if that mod adds new worldgen (so biome mods, new ores, new trees/herbs...) will only generate in newly generated chunks (unless they have a retrogen option, but that usually involves fiddling with configs and it sounds like you don't want that.)

if you already have an extended world, what you should probably start to do is download schematica and save your house/builds, write down the seed and make a new world after installing all the mods you want in that instance
>>

Yes, bar any massive overhauls, like TFC.
Worldgen changes will screw up chunk boundaries but that's about it.

Jeb wanted to add all three of those super complex mobs in one huge update, but he decided that he didn't want people to think Minecraft was a game focused on passive mobs so he spaced them out over a couple years.

Jeb is such a forward thinker.
>>
>>175553328
5 was a nice experience. The research wasn't quite as shit (each research had it's own points so you didn't need to aspect grind, which makes it somewhat tolerable)

It has some nice stuff with it's new wand foci, the grapple one is genuinely fun to dick around with. Also, essentia smelting is nice, the air essentia things are pretty sweet and don't rely on retarded golem ai to use, so it's a massive improvement

I personally feel like tedium isn't a good balance, and tc5 shaving off some tedium didn't make it feel unbalanced
>>
>>175349098
what modpack do you guys play and can you give a quick gestalt on them?

>>
>>175554131

>>
>>175553328
TC5 had one good thing, which was wireless essentia transfer, making it so you don't need autistic golems to carry jars or spider webs of pipes. Every other change felt lacking in some part or just plain shit.
>>175553525
Especially the research. The new system meant that you had to spend a fuckton of time combining the aspects you were given in order to make higher-tier aspects, and if you fucked up somewhere then too bad, go make another research. There was never any "aspect grind" in TC4 as long as you properly scanned everything you crafted, as the mod intended - when you ran out of aspects, you were supposed to craft more shit or go out exploring, not bash your head at the research table until aspects came out of it.
>>
>>175554723
>having to go roaming the countryside to scan nodes just to do some research
>or having to make a wall of deconstructors to slowly get points
>not to mention tc4 addons with their own costs, which tc4 vanilla does not account for

TC5's system is more tedium friendly at the expense of making sure you know how to efficiently get from 1 aspect to another. it's the best tradeoff possible for research aside from fucking getting rid of that shit in the first place. Research is garbage and doesn't fit in with mc

On the topic of Thaumcraft, does anyone here playing custom modpacks decide to spend extra time in adding aspects to unsupported items?

I first thought that Thaumcraft has the ability to automatically assign aspects based on the kind of item (e.g., plants get Herba, tools get Instrumentum and/or Perfodio, etc.), but it turns out that it doesn't.
>>
>decide to make the machines from High Pressure Tanks because they were what caught my attention from the mod in first place

>>

It automatically assigns aspects to tools, weapons, armor, and potions if they subclass the vanilla ones. It doesn't recognize harvest levels on other items though.
>>
>>175556696
Rather than have machines that do jobs, you craft things that can spawn various NPCs of varied jobs.
There's a research system and whatnot you need to unlock shit.

The NPCs do various jobs, the priest resurrects killed ones, guards guard, couriers transport items, farmers farm, miners mine, etc.
You set their pathing and manage their behavior.

There's a lot of neat shit in the mod including drawbridges, some worldgen, windmills, rotation based power for some really basic automation.
>>

Shit that's almost perfect for a lot of what I'm trying to do. Is there any way I could also mod it so there are hostile villages with the same mechanics?

1-Just copy and paste everything onto your minecraft folder.
2-Create a forge profile with Minecraft 1.7.10 on it.

Problem number 1: 2 of the shitty music tracks haven't been removed their areas. I won't be fixing this anytime soon because when I do it it will be to replace the whole thing and add all the custom music. Wish I had more time, but 1th May was my last day to finish everything, so you may still find some unpolished dialogs and bugs here and there. Not many, I hope.

Castlefag here. I replayed until area 4. It's much more smoothly than before and I managed not to die so far.

BUT there is a somewhat important bug:

If you press ESC during the dialogs the conversation ends. That means some of the quests may get cancelled if you screw up. It's not gamebreaking unless an accident happens, so beware when you talk to npcs.

Recommended on Easy unless you're a beast. Disable the spawning of GrimoireofGaia creatures because they're pretty strong at first.

Just in case I forgot, here are some tips:
1.Don't fight the boss at the entrance. You're not supposed to until you have at least an iron sword.

2.Careful with dialogs. If you say "no" to a questgiver he may not give you any other quest.

3.Don't press esc during dialogs or it may screw up the quest.

4.Undead are undead, most natural creatures and monsters are arthropods. Exploit these weaknesses.

Any other doubt just post here. If I see it I'll reply. There's tons of secrets around, that's for sure. Also you'll do better than other players if you know brewing and crafting recipes, as some monsters drop ingredients to craft potions. (if not don't worry, there's a way to get some pots VIA quests and exploring)
I'm gone for a good while. Good luck.

I'll be lurking around and writing down bugs.

the portcullis at the main gate is what you have to open. The tutorial tells you to climb through the broken stairs using the dead tree with glowstone lights. Pic related. That town is just a PVP area.

Castle Trip Report as I put it down for the night

Overall, the castle looks excellent. Which was the most important thing for me going in. A solid 8/10 with the only real complaints are a lot of the areas feel a bit too cramped and there could be a bit more brick texture separation.

The biggest downside was probably that the resource pack is way too dark, it made it impossible to see anything. We're talking Circle of the Moon on the original GBA here. As a test before I quit I tried some other texture packs I had and things looked a lot better lighting-wise. There's also a bit of an issue with some UI elements having too busy of a background making some items blend in too well, like sticks.

As for difficulty, this feels hard to score well, since I'm a pretty poop player. It feels like a difficult game to me. There's a lot of enemies and it's hard to maintain daytime, especially save rooms don't work with enemies around, which always seemed to be somewhere I couldn't actually reach to deal with them. The castle passages were a bit overly cramped, too, which made the number of mobs feel like maybe there were more than there actually were.

I did have a couple issues with figuring out where I needed to go next. I missed the main portcullis because 1) it's size and position didn't exactly scream "main portcullis" and 2) the path continues over the gate and along the wall to a different area. And then just past that having to run by the Guardian Golem was fine, but then I had to go back and search around for the path to go next since it wasn't up the stairs and past that, leading to some confusion

This is the current room that has me stumped. There seems to be a bit of a jumping path along the walls, but it seems hard to discern and I'm too poop to actually make it around past the first couple of jumps.

That's a difficult jumping puzzle you're gonna have to face. Be sure to unlock all the shortcuts so that you don't have to repeat it again and again. I didn't make it any easier because you're going to be finding creatures that drop enderpearls, or items that allow you to glide and double-jump. Also, I made sure that everything is well-connected. The big castle should become small after a 100% run.

I'm trying a dual wielding knife run and It kinda works, but the sooner you get yourself a knight shield and an iron or superior weapon the better (you can buy them later on)
Castle Corridor, barracks and the area you've just beaten are among the hardest zones because there are too many enemies and you're still squishy. I may make them weaker or delete a few, in the future.

When you feel strong enough (late game) feel free to visit the town which can be seen from the chapel (not the PVP town you visited, there's another one on the other side)
That will get you to the DLC castle.

Thanks for playing. Let's see who's the first to get the good ending with all the npcs.
>>
>>175618392
One thing I forgot to mention is that I'm not sure if it's because I'm a poop, but I kept finding things I wasn't sure what to do with. Like you give me two wood planks in a chest. Am I supposed to build stuff with it? There was a bunch of stuff I wasn't sure if I should be using as ingredients or what with. My inventory was full of the most random stuff because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with it. I know I wasn't supposed to break blocks, but was placing blocks okay?
>>
>>175618905
>Am I supposed to build stuff with it?
Yes and no. You're not supposed to place any of those blocks. Those materials and stuff you will find are useful for crafting and brewing. You can also use wood to cook food. In the future, I'll also add blocks with materials you can smelt. Don't worry if you don't know how to do those things. The testruns I did were without any potions or big enhancements. There are many ways in which you can obtain new skills.
You can end up playing metroidvania style or classicvania style (average guy run)
In the unfathomable depths of your room no one can see you cheating though.

I haven't heard of any Minecraft modder/Curse/FTB/Technic/etc drama in months. Are things really this quiet?
>>
>>175625157
Are you sure? You can't overamp a machine.

You can overamp wires, causing them to burn up, but that won't explode any machines unless you ignore the fire and walk away. Fire makes machines explode.
>>
>>175627721

I had three active power generators running on one cable, w/o any kind of buffers or transformers or w/e.
>>
>>175627897
Your cable burned up and turned to fire, and some time later the fire caused a machine to explode. Had you reacted to the fire quickly, nothing would have exploded.
>>
>>175627897
You don't need buffers or transformers to deal with amps. All you need is a thicker cable.
>>
>>175628256

That's the thing, I didn't know that I was overamping the wire. I had two steam generators and then recently I added a diesel generator as a back-up source of power. Nothing happened for a while, but it could be because nothing was taking power from the diesel generator yet. As soon as I walked away to sleep in my bed as I had the machines overworking on shit, suddenly BOOM.

GTNH uses an old version of gregtech. The new one gives you 2 bronze machine casings per craft instead of one, and lets you make plates 3 for 2 in the forge hammer.

That's why you only have four blast furnaces while the rest of us have eight.

I'm talking about going back from 1.11.2 vanilla. I agree vanilla has less content than modded 1.7.10 IF you find a lot of mods you like but most of them seem uninteresting to me.
>What specific kind of mods are you looking for then?
I like the simplicity of stuff like Growthcraft that blends well with the vanilla-style of gameplay
>>
>>175695404
>I'm talking about going back from 1.11.2 vanilla

>I like the simplicity of stuff like Growthcraft that blends well with the vanilla-style of gameplay
Minecraft is a sandbox game at it's core, even with the RPGshit jeb keeps trying to shove in it, there is no "one" vanilla style of gameplay, and the day there is, minecraft is dead.

What do you do when you play vanilla?
Do you build, do you redstone, do you explore, do you farm, etc.?
>>
>>175695723
>What do you do when you play vanilla?
>Do you build, do you redstone, do you explore, do you farm, etc.?
build, mine, and farm I guess. with occasional exploration for resources.
>>
>>175696045
Proper build or cobble together a hovel?
Chisel adds an assload of decorative blocks, some nice variants on vanilla ones.
Growthcraft community edition is good for farming, though at this point its a little bloated.
Defeatedcrow's mods, apple&milk&tea, bamboomod, and mapletree mod all fit well with vanilla.
They're a bit hard to find due to being nip and not on curseforge.
Gardenstuff is also really nice, adds actually good plant pots and shit.

The ones you already chose are nice, RTG changes worldgen to be much more smooth, climate control allows you to mess with frequency of biomes and lets you get some really cool island worldgen.
AFAIK the only thing inpurecore does on it's own is help you filter NEI, it's not really necessary for smaller packs.
NEI is an absolute necessity for any pack due to recipes being retarded to memorize and improper mod documentation.
Traincraft is a really nice train mod, great standalone, not too complex or techy, best paired with railcraft, but that might be a bit much.
Redstone paste is pretty much just utility to take away some of the retardedness of vanilla redstone, usually gets ignored due to more complex mods like redlogic doing the same thing and more stuff relevent to advanced redstonery.

Never heard of roxa's tall doors.

These are a thing too. Won't be an enhanced version though.
Only the enhanced one shows "no upgrade", due to how it's upgrade slot position thing works.

>>175715193
Before we had runic shielding baubles, TC 4.1 (1.6.4) had a thing called Runic Armour, which was the precursor to the bauble system.
You could apply various upgrades to them, most of which are now the specialist runic baubles - but you can't enchant them.

I was doing some shit in the Thaumic Exploration code, and found a reference to a set of Enhanced Runic Armour, that was never implemented - probably because of the version change and new runic system. So of course, since I had the runic armour 90% working, I thought I port/add the TX Enhanced set too.

TX Mask of Cruelty is 80% working as well. Yeah, the Majora's mask thing that shoots lightning. Currently just applies a wither effect rather than custom damage handler, and the item will take gradual damage if you're using it to be mean.

please spoon feed me :( I haven't touched minecraft since 1.4 or so
>>
>>175743772
On curseforge you can check the dependencies tab, and select dependents
That way you can see all the things on curseforge that use or require the specific mod
There arent may modpacks using it though

Apparently it's because they had <ore:iron_ingot> instead of <ore:ingotIron> in their recipes. I guess some dumb mod I removed was adding a full retard oredic entry for iron.

I kind of want to start playing, but autismserb seems like more of an investment than most, given the lifespan of /mcg/ serbs

Question, I have not played Minecraft in 2 years. If I install a grapics mods for increased viewdistance and play on a online server will it work there or is it only on my own game?

Another question. What is a good mod browser I can install for minecraft, Like steamworkshop for garrys mod or something like that, any good programs.

ONE MORE QUESTION. If you install lets say a SCP mod can you play online with others IF they have that mod installed? Like a online server with mods?
>>

Curseforge for mods, Twitch Launcher/ATlauncher/FTBLauncher/Technic Launcher for modpacks
If you want to play multiplayer, the server, you and the people you're playing with need the mod installed

Why are people so against the new combat system generally? I've been playing since before the update and I prefer having to think a bit more than just spamming clicks.
>>
>>175755237
Because people don't give a shit about rpgshit they just want to build, combat is nothing more than a quick break
>>
>>175755237
Its just a hassle, for me the larger problem is baby zombies.
They run faster than the cooldown so your shit just gets kicked in
>>
>>175755294
But I don't understand how it's worse or why people reject it so vehemently.

Use a shield, Attempt to hit them, black, Attempt to hit them, block etc.
>>
>>175755237
It misses the point and it's half-assed (like anything Mojang shits)

>Original complain: Combat is neither fun nor interesting, it's a point and click andventure
>Mojang's "fix": Add a cooldown between hits, add shields too
>Current situation: Combat is still as fucking bland as it was before, but now there's cooldown you need to obey, still a point-and-click adventure
>>
>>175755381
>shield requires leather
>offhand bullshit
yeah nah
>>
>>175755237
I like it too. Though, at the same time, it's not like it changes much. Mobs always had iframes and the iframe time is only slightly less than the attack recharge time

If anything, I would say mojang didn't do enough. Get rid of iframes on monsters, give monsters attack animations, make timing actually matter.

Also, shields are retardedly good. They completely nullify creeper damage and stop everything in their tracks. Running through a cave and just letting creepers pop in your face to take out mobs is kind of nice.
>>
>>175755347
Because its work and effort and no one gives a shit.
Old system didn't require any thinking.
This is on top of the fact that they keep buffing damage and shit.
Minecraft is a building game and autism game, not a combat game.
>>
>>175755396
Shame they didn't copy and build on some of tinker's mechanics.

>Charge jump slashes
>Activated spin/cleave attacks
>Back hops and more practical charge skills
>Blocking an attack right when it connects parries it for damage
>Bow types that lets you move faster while aiming, some draw faster
>Stealth mechanics

>>
>>175755690

>>
>>175755690
No, RPG elements enhance the freedom of playstyle in Minecraft.

Vanilla NEEDs more RPG shit.
>>
Just found out that you can make Thermal Foundation's fluids work in the alchemical boiler from Automagy if you simply add aspects to their item forms on NEI with MineTweaker. Neat.
>>
>>175755690
I'm a bit of both. I like building towns and colonies and while role playing in them. I also do things like lay supports, gravel and tracks through mines as I go. Building can take on that role playing side which makes minecraft so unique.
>>
Let's get some opinions. What exactly would minecraft be to you ideally?

For me I would want it to become essentially a first person version of the stronghold franchise.
>>
>>175756208
A simple but enjoyable vanilla with good mod support.

>>
>>175756061

These are your options, as far as I can see it.
>>
so how about those farming mods
>>
>>175768330
This pls
Haven't played in a couple years and suddenly this growthcraft and agricraft shit is everywhere. are either/both worth it?
>>
>>175771043
Agricraft is like a better version of IC2's crop system, basically you can make your seeds grow faster and produce up to 4 things per harvest. It's okay, but it's a bit too easy, especially if you enable its resource crops in the config which let you farm iron/gold/etc.

Growthcraft is a bunch of things you can farm in different ways from vanilla, such as welcome to the rice pads motherfucker and grape. You can also make wine, cider and so on, it's a pretty comfy mod. The older versions of the community edition bloated the FUCK out of it though.

Harvestcraft is 100 different reskins of wheat and 100 boring trees. It also lets you cook food by smashing its ingredients together in your inventory together with cookware, and somehow adds microcrafting for food. It's absolute shit but literally every single FTBabby pack has it for some reason.

Is Lex intentionally causing peoples' level.dat files to be deleted? I've seen so many complaints about this.
>>
>>175772062
What happenned?
>>
I've been wanting to add Ars Magica 2 to me and my friends 1.7.10 server, but I'm a bit paranoid that whenever one of us goes into creative (MC has a hiccup and causes us to lose progress), it permanently unlocks everything and ruins the experience. Is there some way to disable this, because I can't find anything on this?
>>
>>175772062
No. The level.dat gets corrupted very rarely for some unexplainable reason - it may be tied to the game crashing while the file is being saved which is once every 30 seconds due to it being saved by Minecraft every time the world is saved.
>>
So I'm trying to add a blacklist to magneticrafts block breaker, but I'm not sure how to edit the config file, it says just add something like "minecraft:stone" but where do i add it?

config for reference:
https://github.com/Beyond-Reality/Beyond-Reality-Divergence/blob/master/config/Magneticraft.cfg
>>
>>175774556
The config asks for the blocks' internal names. If you have minetweaker/crafttweaker installed you can type /mt hand while holding the item and it will print the internal name in the game chat.
