Still kind of worried about Forces though. Classic Sonic isn't looking great imo, we still don't know anything about the new character, and if Modern Sonic is 3/4 2D and 1/4 3D like in Colors and Generations then idk man. I'm getting kind of tired of classic sonic at this point. I'm a little scared of how this is going to play out.

There's still a lot left to be revealed for Forces so I guess that's what's keeping me interested for now. Speculating and hoping for the best. That's all I can do now. Just hold on to what if

What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you retarded? Charmy is probably the best character in the series. He's probably the most useful of the supporting cast, he's also the one with the less cringy backstory and personality.

Honestly losing Charmy will be the biggest blow to the franchise, a lot of people like him and the fact that he's been missing from all games except Generations SINCE FUCKING HEROES is already bad enough for many people.

I wonder if Chronicles is what caused Nintendo to lock down the Mario series so much when it came to new enemy and character designs. For example look at the two recent Paper Mario games. There are no original enemies or characters in it (besides super basic ones like the bucket). They just use generic toads, goombas, and shy guys for everything. In the original games you had new species, new characters, modified old designs, etc. I wonder if Nintendo saw what happened with Chronicles, Penders, and the new characters designs in the game and decided to to completely stop that practice in their own titles.

Shadow's past is already explored and done, the only thing left that they could possibly make a story out of is Blaze's past before she met Cream and Sonic. I'm still pretty mad that we lost the reboot just as Blaze was finally going to get an arc. I bet sega really regrets making her a native to her own dimension now, probably even more than they regret letting bioware make a Sonic game or ever meeting Ken Penders. Apparently that asshole has been gloating about killing the comics and that his new comics will blow them away.

Last I checked Penders' twitter, he was going on about he's the one who truly understands Knuckles' motivation for what he does. That, and how Sonic needs an origin the games won't provide.

ALSO while Tails Kicks Ass is getting reworked.
It may be the only site where the downloads of the digital versions of the comics (albeit its not all issues only a select few) are available aside from Archie.Com.
While that may be the case of the issues plaguing the comics it doesn't mean its the end of Sonic printed Media.
If there is a demand. Sega might look to other avenues. Maybe open up their own studio to create the comics which ties into their games. But I highly doubt that would happen. Would be nice though.

It would be for the best to be quite honest. Boost gameplay and Wisp are getting really old, and I predict that the reception of Forces will reflect that. Well, that among many other things, if what we know about the game so far is true.

The point is that 3D Sonic needs to be reworked from the ground up to incorporate more actual gameplay rather than sheer spectacle and scripted events. Thing is, I highly doubt there's gonna be this big backlash to Boost. For every Sonic fan that's not looking forward to Boost gameplay coming back in Forces, I've seen just as many that is happy about its return. And in regards to the reception Fores is gonna get, I don't see it getting panned massively. The worst thing about the game right now looks to be Classic's gameplay, & that looks to be nothing worse than okay.

boost exists as a crutch for both sonic team and the fans since it's the only style they have managed to come up with that has a decent flow and isn't horribly broken. in therms of movement ghz act 2 and utopia are steps in the right direction but it still needs refinement. the biggest flaw is that just running around really isn't all that fun. my idea on how to fix this is to make sonic a lot more combat focused where you destroy legions of giant robots EDF style

I mean the comics possibly dying is sad, but there's still the Boom cartoon, Mania looks to be great, Modern Sonic's gameplay in Forces looks fun (imo), the story being more serious than the last few games is cool, etc.
