7/10 bosses require that melee drool over the boss's ankles while mashing the buttons for their rotation and occasionally eating a cake or not standing in a beam or whatever

augur requires that melee stop being autistic for long enough to not run into each other and wipe the entire raid and every melee wants to be the one guy who can sit on the boss so they can parse

It's not hard, no. However, you'll get destroyed if you don't play it correctly. This usually comes in the form of blowing all your SOTR charges and having nothing to absorb a big hit. SOTR is not a part of your rotation, so don't just hit it whenever it's up. Save them for big incoming damage, while making sure to always keep one recharging. Also always keep at least one banked for AM mechanics.
As far as enjoyment, I love the ton of utility they provide to the raid. You can throw out spot heals on the raid, take a portion of your OT's damage when you're not actively tanking, etc. Also, we're not getting fucked in 7.2.5, so that's cool.

I argued with a guild mate about there being nothing to do in WoD, but when I step back and take inventory, I don't feel that way at all in Legion. Plenty of stuff to do.

If you're a DH, monk or a dk tank and decently geared (~890) you can do pretty much all bosses except blast furnace. Maidens is only doable on a monk and blackhand might give quite a bit of trouble under 900

Also Krosus is a decent "stand still and hit shit" fight and Fury destroys it.

I guess it depends on your personal definition of difficult. I work a job that's very multi-tasking intensive, so juggling all the stuff for MM was always fairly simple for me. I just kind of slid into it naturally. Tracking everything was kind of second nature for me after a little bit of time getting adjusted to focus regen rate, etc.

I never found it super difficult. I definitely had far, far more troubles learning and mastering the inner rage rotation, personally.

A proc that has you press a major spender twice is already at risk of having that feast-or-famine feel. I got to level 15, I unlocked the dungeon finder and leveled up to level 40 thanks to it, but I want to continue with the main quests you were supposed to do, but now that I'm level 40 it all seems so pointless because I barley earn XP and gold.

Welcome to wow since 2009. The entire game is a 0 challenge, 0 thought skinner box designed to take you to raid ready status without ever being remotely difficult or making you explore. Once you reach max level and get some basic gear, you can then progress through the same raid 3 times until you get to the real raid difficulty (mythic) and actually get to have fun.

If you want to quest go find a Vanilla or BC private server.

No, questing is fun. For the first time. If you rolling you 6th human lvling down in the Eastern Kingdoms it gets quickly boring.

Either roll a new race and start at their questing way or stick with your race and go quest at new zones you haven't tried.

I for one love questing but dungeons give you better loot and the LFD completion bonus bag gives you bonus loot/xp.

but if you are new I strongly suggest lvl through questing, read them too. They will introduce you some lore too.

enhancement was a weird experience. it got worse to play the better gear you had. I remember raiding I would literally just press stormstrike and weapon buffs an entire fight and I couldn't keep up with tempest procs. spec was so fucking shallow.

for factions, there's barely any difference, stormheim is the only zone with different questing experiences for horde and ally
literally the only faction story so far is voljin and varian being dead
as far as classes for the ones I play:
-hunter literally a WC3 hunter hall on top of a mountain, the quest story is kind of lame and ends with you fighitng hakkar the houndmaster (not the blood god)

lock- a small legion broken world you conquer and take with your new evil circle that recruits you, the 6, but in the process your comrades are captured by the legion and its up to you to rescue them to continue your warlock sinister circle's shit, also you get to choose 1 of 2 waifus to join the 6 at the end

shaman- it's some rocks by the maelstrom, there's also a floating ball of lava, you and the earthen ring work to have the 4 elemental lords join forces to fight the legion, this includes reviving thunderaan to become the new windlord and helping some guy that looks like baelroc win a war to become the new firelord and letting the stonemother sit on your face
also you get to watch metzen butterfingers doomhammer into maelstrom

priest-naaru spaceship with a shadow and holy altar on opposing sides, your quest chain is absolutely hilarious as you watch your comrades do stupid shit like go poke basilisks with a stick and get petrified and you have to dispel, rezz and heal them; there's also an ending where paladins show up to save you from an invasion, for some reason this really bothers people

monk- panda starting zone, you make super brew that gives you superpowers

quests get interesting once you reach northrend. thats where you start to actually get many interconnected quests and start to see voice acting used more commonly.
in the latest two expansions quests are actually designed around storylines.
you can comfortably level to 90 by just using the the dungeonfinder.
for best results queue as tank or heal. youll be 80 in a day easily. dont do any quests really just grind mobs appropriate to your level while queuing in the dungoenfinder. again whants you reach northrend the quests get a lot better and actually tell an overarching story with many subplots. quest only get better from there. youll start to encounter less fetch and kill quests overall and more things that let you actually do things. and again a lot more voiceacting and cutscenes.

After having killed M Guldan a couple of times now, I gotta say, this actually is a pretty great final boss fight.
First off., there are very few random elements and those that are present are vey low variance and/or controllable. You rarely if ever feel like an attempt was made significantly easier/harder by sheer luck, unlike for example Elisande or Star Augur. This gives the whole fight a very clinical feeling and if you mastered the mechanics, you get some incredibly smooth kills which just feels great. It's a very varied fight too, with plenty of different shit to do each phase, so even though it's a longass fight, it rarely feels like one. The puzzle-esque approach to phase 3 is really interesting as well and again, it feels amazing when you pull it off.
It's a great spectacle, simply an overall awesome encounter.
