BFB was unstoppable and a straight upgrade at most situations. So good that it got another crutch score to Scout.
PBPP was meaningless but still not a bad choice if you want to have fun.
Now BFB is "somewhat manageable" and PBPP is complete trash. They overnerfed both equally and that's what we got left with.

It was incredibly powerful. The pistol as basically free 15hp, with no real downside, and the BFB was also ridiculously powerful.
It was fun to play with, but a lot of people bitched and moaned about it not being fun to play against, which is fair, since the set is a chronic "Get out of jail free" card.

Although desu only shitters couldn't hit a fully charged scout, and then bitched "m-muh hitboxes ;_;", I never had issues hitting them, only 'issue' was how fast they could just go away and get health.

Current state of both weapons is alright. Losing charge on damage makes some sense, and the penalties are negligible now.
The pistol is fun for pubstomping, since you can just chip at people and get full hp in no time.

DR can be a good candidate for choke points but IW and CnD are real menaces. DR became a crutch because of abuseable nature.
When you decide to shutdown a Deadringer, any capable class (Scout and Pyro) can do it, unless your team consist of bunch of retards they should be able to protect their own bum as well.
It feels like 7 seconds cloak duration is too long, if it were to have 5.5 seconds then we'd see some diversity in the gameplay besides decloaking on top of closest metalbits or some skill.
A Deadringer Spy should be able to risk his skin to doppelganger for team's Medic or Demoman actually. That sort of hide&seek advantage and effective health of an overhealed Soldier at the first seconds only prolongs the game in an unfun way.

I'm pretty sure it would do that if there were more players in the player pool. As it is the system has to prioritize on filling servers before it can think about balance them.

So in theroy you should get more balanced matches during peek hours, whenever those might be where you are provided there are enough players searching for similar map pools are you are in the system.

Even then I kind of doubt it desu, if you want to play with people of similar skill go do pugs or find a comp team

Yea, medic is kind of in a busted state at the moment. I kind of hope they nerf the crossbow/buff his other primaries as well as doing some re-balancing on his melee weapons. At least the mediguns are pretty on the level, if they tweek the quickfix a tad then they will be solid as fuck.

the aim required for plasma/needles is a mix of tracking and prediction which are arguably the hardest of all aiming styles

The recent buff where it builds uber was too much I agree, still I think that it should still reward a good shot but just nothing more than the original extra healing over distance. They need to up the potential of the normal syringes, for a starter they should make the arc a bit less awkward and maybe have them reloaded upon switching like the crossbow has.

For reference, rocket launcher has 140dps potential.

Crossbow is only 47dps.

Problem with needles is that most people are shitters with no idea how to use them, so they claim it's a shit gun with no potential.
