Strong aa's and vulnerable frames after landing when you jump attack means you can't jump willy nilly, forward moving strings can be out footsied/low or high profiled/armored/neutral jumped, and same for the specials. Dashes are generally reactable, although inj 2's look faster. Walking is a great option, especially if you don't want to commit and play a reactionary/punish game.

It varies from game to game. mk9 was notorius for shitty low profile d3 3% dmg aa's that only get you oki pressure for some characters, injustice had ok d2's hitbox wise on most characters that lead to ~20-25% meterless, mkx had a mix bagged with some d2's being legit with some characters having armored launchers, but some characters were sol.

ayyy lmao, you just don't know. Bald spot stoner got 9th place evo shooting guns and tossing interactables. NRS has always shown love to zoning, go peep a dr fate/captain cold/blue beetle/deadshot/poison ivy gameplay vid or watch tower archive. Zoners tend to be strong at mid level play in nrs games, but get exposed once mu's are figured out and everyone has good use of system mechanics (or someone retarded is introduced who ignores zoning like mmh or batgirl).
