Got this on NG and feel somewhat sad. I was a pile of rocks and forgot about using persona's during slinks until I was very well into the game. Kawakami just got greyed out during the final month and didn't know what to do about it so I cried.

Also managed to get max'd social stats so not all too bad. I'm just happy that I managed to avoid spoilers. Only thing I knew about P5 was the initial trailer.

I feel like the romance side of the character while somewhat detrimental to her as a teacher, allows you to deal with other very important aspects of her life which is a nice touch and probably my favorite aspect of her whole SL. Something none of the other cakes really touch on.

Basically, Kawakami not romancing Joker makes her a fantastic Teacher but that's it, which I feel makes her a bit more one-dimensional than necessary. There's no emotional fulfillment aspect to her life other than "wow my students love me!".

Which girl has the best backstory and events when ranking her confidant up?

I romanced Makoto and it was rather..boring. I was unsure who to romance and bought into all the hype. Personally I really liked Haru and Futabas stories and Kawakami as well, which was nice because I wasnt expecting hers to be good at all. I just wanted the free time in her class, coffee etc.

It's still a surprise to 1-3 because 5's still mostly happy and positive, only being slightly less cheery than in P4.

Only two characters die in the course of the story Okamura and Goro (assuming good old groo doesn't end up somehow surviving) and both were kind of shitty people (if understanably so) that deserved it.
