Thoughts on the JP dub so far as I crawl through my second playthrough. Notes taken as they pop up.

Igor (Fake) - Pretty much the same

Sae - Good shit

Sojiro - Pretty similar, I think I like JP a little bit more.

Kawakami - Sounds nice, looking forward to not hearing "HIIIIIII!" as often as I do.

Ann - Sounds much more distinguished/refined? Didn't realize how few lines she got at the very beginning of the game until now.

Kamoshida - Oh wow I do not like this voice. He sounds like a dweeb, not an olympian. The first one I feel the dub is stronger in.

Ryuji - Much manlier/lower pitch, I almost feel like he should switch with Kamoshida. Still not bad, sounds more like a punk than ENG.

Shadow Kamoshida - Felt I'd give this a separate entry. JP sounds more like a pervert, ENG sounds more like a king. I'm leaning towards JP for his shadow, but I still dislike his real world voice

Lavenza - Wow she sounds so much older. I like it a lot.

Arsene - What a badass.

Morgana - Bleh. I really liked the dub voice, so take this with a grain of salt, but JP is tryharding mascot trash imo. Dub Morgana is more natural. I actually believed he may have been human once based on how normal he sounded.

I see her being totally decked out in armor and commanding minions using shogi pieces. I posted an idea in the earlier thread.

Gameplay wise, I could see them doing the following with her (some of the below, not all of them):

-a more consistent dark/light/almighty user. She doesn't have to use all three, but she could be dark/almighty or light/almighty.

-hunger infliction

-charge up or concentrate up an ally (late game)

-inflict desperation on an ally

-swap out one or both other allies for backrow units. units swapped in could have their hit/avoid boosted. late-game this could ignore if the allies are status inflicted as well.

-some kind of mechanic based upon "promoting" in shogi. It could be a passive that powers her up if she inflicts a down, or a skill that powers any ally up if they do so. If it worked only on her, maybe it could also work if she defeated an enemy.

-a skill that boosts secondary effects for all skills the party uses (increased burn, freeze, shock rate or increased ailment chance for physical skills that inflict them)

I'm not saying she needs to have all of this, but these are some of my ideas. I see her being a non-healing support unit that covers either light or dark and maybe almighty. Her attack and magic wouldn't be stellar but she would have boosts that could make her useful.

So were there any things (characters, plot points, etc) that you felt differently about on your NG+ run?

I'm getting irritated a lot faster by Morgana's creeping on Ann and general attitude as well as Ryuji's SHITTY ADULTS and obsession with how famous we are than I was initially.

On the other hand I'm liking Ann a lot more, because I'm picking up on how many scenes I expected her to turn into a cliche screaming anime girl that punches and kicks the boys for being perverted or stupid or just being boys and instead she just brushes it off like no big deal.
