It isn't anything like Danganronpa really. Check out some of the gameplay vids to see if you enjoy the way it looks.
While the twist is fun, I'd only recommend picking it up if you can find it on a discount or somewhere ~$15.

It plays more like Natural Doctrine or Valkyria Chronicles-lite. If you like Danganronpa because of its story / gameplay you'll be in for a surprise. The gimmick is memorable though and I definitely enjoyed myself. If you can find it cheap somewhere definitely pick it up
