It's far more likely that they will make him Johnson's son.

i wrote for six hours on how halo is trying to revamp their story. like i went into how they had the forerunners had an underwhelming role could be a jab at the constraining narrative they were stuck with. when microsoft pushed halo hard to sell xboxs that sold him. the forerunners are the mythical race the series is built on was brought on for one game used just to hype and dropped on the first game in a trilogy and dropped like there we just two waiting around guess there cant be one waiting at the domain, using the domain as a hibernation aid letting the precursor creation nudge them towards an irritated emotion remembering that theyre protecting fucking nothing knowing that the halos went off protecting the mantle when they didnt need to kill themselfs to uphold an ideology stuck their alone to give the domain to who? why save it? all the fucking knowledge it gets itll loose because a saying

Remember that scene in halo 4 where you meet the librarian who is supposed to be dead, but she's not really dead, but also she is because she's just a hologram or something, and then she tells chief that he is the chosen one with magic space genes and then plays a 5 minute cartoon cutscene that dumps an entire game's worth of exposition and lore on us just to try and explain the story even though you still won't understand it properly without all the terminals, and even then some things are still available completely unexplained without reading an entire trilogy of expanded universe lore novels

Watching this vid makes me compare the 2D Metroid games.

You guys have to read between the lines, fans "want" to play the Chief, fans "love" Blue Team, fans "like" Osiris (subjective). This implies that 343 knows fans put there own personality into Chief so chances are they will handle the Chief like they did in Halo 4. Remember Bonnie said she "loves" Halo 4's story.

The Covenant's story could have been combined with the created storyline with the Swords of Sanghelios aiding Chief in fighting both factions but instead we got Locke and Osris retarded hunt.

ODST had some of the best atmosphere in the series along with a steller soundtrack and open world. Reach had more saving the world from aliens then a lot of the series. If you honesty tie Halo just to the chief than you started Halo way after its release.

What the fuck am I reading? Halo 1 was my first Halo game and Master Chief like Samus Aran in Metroid NES was an empty vessel that I placed my personality into. I think you're the one that started Halo late my friend. Halo was about the mystery, sense of adventures, fun combat sandbox gameplay, and the world around you as a player. The Ant Man vid does a good job explaining all of this.

Difference is Samus has character, I suppose you could say. I haven't played Metroid be she seems to stand out and be unique compared to other factions / characters around her.

I can't entirely say the same for the chief. He's one spartan amongst many and part of military organization of many perspectives. If he dies it won't be the end of the UNSC. We've seen it through different eyes already with Halo Wars as a commanders point nof view and ODST as a more regular soldier. I can't see an RTS of mrtroid working out. Halo is the universe it has built for itself. The many angles of a whole. Limiting it purely to the Chief makes for boring reuse of an overdone character.

Take me back to the Human-Covenant war on other colonies, show me the space ba5tles with Cole vs the covie fleet. Take me on new adventures searching for more forunner artifacts. The chief doesn't need to be a part of all those adventures and I don't think he can.

Halo could do well to step more out of its FPS shoes, though I understand the risks for changing up a game are big. I would love to see a proper open world Halo. Some more perspective from the covenant again. A more gritty Halo like Landfall.

If Halo wants to be the Star Wars like Franchise they're aiming for they need to open up. A Halo mega blocks game was planned and that looked cool but they scrapped it. We can't keep doing the chief FPS game forever.

Samus has the same damn personality as the Chief, I should know, I'm also a Metroid fan. In the first three games like the Chief, Samus really didn't have much of a personality and was at most, an empty vessel. Starting with Fusion is when they truly started to develop her as a character.

I don't know where you keep getting this character driven story nonsense, Halo games were never the books therefore they shouldn't be treated like them. Fans like you miss the point and reason why everyone loves the Chief. It's the exact same reason why everyone loves Samus because Chief was an badass empty vessel that had the freedom to do what ever the hell he wanted instead of having to follow the rule, "Leave that lone wolf stuff behind", as years went by, people got attached to Chief and now see him as the face of Halo. People want to see his character more but as the same time they want that power fantasy of being a bad as that saves the galaxy. This is what Arbiter, The Rookie, Noble Six, and Locke all fail at. None of them give players the sense of freedom that Chief gives. The flashbacks in ODST killed the Rookie's chances of having the same freedom Chief had because you were forced to play his annoying team members and go through their drama, because Bungie wanted to force you to like them.

Yes, the ones that are not lore centric since they don't give a shit about all this character driven shit, just that power fantasy of being a badass and having that sense of adventure exploring the galaxy and fighting aliens, plus these fans (this includes myself) are too attached to the Master Chief now and they make up the majority of the fanbase. If no ones knows the reason for why Arbiter, Rookie, Noble Six, and Locke were all disliked all you need to do and look at what they did. the problem is this is a civil war with dozens of factions. the crewmen are relearning self reliance as individual species since theyre not able to rely on the covenant. one side seems to be winning since they allied with the unsc that give aid to keep oni's finger on the pulse. this gives plenty of branches to grow the franchise except for a game to carry a plot. halo started with you crash landing on a super weapon. all you need to know is in the game with the main focus is being fucking rad. the plot now is a romance sprinkled with espionage set in a space opera. the only thing that is similar to the original are the protagonist. their is no more room for character growth they need to finish this arc then start new

And I assume you mean 10,000 REQ points? The fastest way to get REQ points is warzone firefight or warzone assault.

But don't waste your points on gold REQ packs yet, buy bronzes until you unlock all common reqs, silvers until you unlock all uncommons and rare, then buy golds for ultra rares, and legendaries/mythics

You get 2500 per firefight match. There's no reason not to just pound through bronzes, instead of waiting two matches to save up for a silver that will give you two commons.
