But it's not top tier either, right? these games are not bottom of the barrel in the script department, sure, but there's not much that can be said about it, even with the best seiyuu (that Echoes sadly lacks) the performance is simply lower.

That's quite subjective. In Fates I agree that the cast is inherently superior in experience, range and performance, but it's a main game and nips have the quality, the dialogue is quite poor so it's sadly forgettable. In Echoes I'd said the English dub and the original voices are on the same mediocre performance, an obvious improvement from the Fates dub, though, and an obvious downgrade from the Fates original cast.

Just use the Barsts for Reposition and Sully for Drawback and Swordbreaker inheritence, i'll pay off much more down the line. You don't even need to level these units to pass on said skills.

She's kinda weird. Her attack and defense are on lower end, but her resistance and speed is fairly high for a cavarly unit of her type. Mine's +def/-res, so it's especially weird since she doesn't excel taking a hit from either side, but atleast can survive more encounters and Emerald Axe is decent weapon for blue-removal while state-line is decent enough to fight non-red units.

Enemies in FE5 have pathetic stats anyway. If you play with growths you can easily get one of your units to max out magic, def, speed, skill, etc. in chapter 14, which would make them basically invincible for the rest of the game. You can still beat the game with 0% growths quite easily, but you need to put some more thought into your tactics.
