Shido personally, but I think that's most people's favorite. Goro was pretty stressful for me because I had forgotten to save and heal up after beating the yakuza member, so I resorted to applying all the physical and magical ointment I had along with giving everyone the remaining mystery stew for the first two phases.

It was hectic but I pulled it off for a win on the first go.

I didn't get any romantic vibes at all in my initial playthrough, and after keeping an eye out for any I missed in NG+ I still don't see them. The only one I've felt was when Joker is staring at her before she gets into the car with Kamoshida, there rest have been very much a friends vibe.

On Merciless, I always had enough to update everyone's melee weapons and armor, as well as stock up on healing items, and hire Kawakami. I never had enough to buy guns though, but since they're basically useless anyway it wasn't a big deal. I did have to grind money a bit when I was able to fuse above my level, but it only ever took about 20 minutes at a time.

Money is easy enough to get if you negotiate for it, I didn't find out about confusing Mementos targets until I finished the game and came here.

Yes, there's a relatively easy method of chaining fusions with certain Drain and Reflect skills that leads to a Yoshitsune that drains, nulls, or reflects everything except Fire which it resist and Gun which barely anything uses.

The Twins use Gun a bit but not enough to make it a problem, unless they happen to get a lucky crit.

They all don't. Some are clearly just there so there's a character for each element and physical type, since protag can't always carry everything especially in the early game.

Then again there's nothing wrong with characters just there to give the player resoruces. Not everyone has to have a major stake in the story.

If anything Persona 3's cast get the most focus despite being the biggest because it doesn't insist on tossing out one character per story event leaving you with late joiners like Naoto or Haru.
