Go for the links that have the best abilities, especially the ones that will let you make up some time. For example, Kawakami is one of the best because she will let you still do activities even after going to a palace/Mementos. This means you can still level up Confidants at night even though you've gone to fight, which normally wouldn't be available because you'd have to go to bed straight away otherwise. Also, it's a pain in the ass, but make sure you are carrying a persona that has matching Arcana with the person you're meeting. Also use a guide to select the best answers that give you more point with the Confidant. Choosing the correct answers will make you level up faster.
