Marcus weakened a Fighter for Lance to kill, and now we're at turn 2 with two more Fighters ready to be picked off

Might as well talk about the other units;

Lance and Alan are both rather interchangeable and are both pretty solid, it's generally better to invest into only one of them though and of the two I prefer to use Lance due to his better Spd base so he'll be the one I'm rolling with

Bors and Wolt are both terrible, Wolt can at least potshot which is somewhat useful early on but Bors is all around terrible (doesn't help that he's an Armor Knight)

Roy, as everyone knows, is the best lord in the series gameplay-wise, he's so good that he chooses to restrain himself to the point where he's actually really mediocre, but since he's forced I'll be trying to get him more XP where possible

Javelins are pretty bad in this game; in most FEs they (as well as Hand Axes) are both excellent weapons, but in FE6 since enemies tend to be relatively good statistically and Javelins/Hand Axes so inaccurate they tend to not be preferred in a lot of scenarios

In here it works out though, which allows for more XP onto Lance

He's probably going to have mediocre HP and shit for Res. Keep in mind even if his attack is in the low 30s, Ragnell is a 16 mt prf weapon so he'll still have enough to make use of Heavy Blade. You'll probably want to hone and spur him so he can one shot green mages regardless of speed anyhow, and swordbreaker lets him double some of the fastest melees in the game.

Reposition, swap and drag back are good, not as good as in fliers but you always want at least two of these, but reposition is the best imo, reciprocal aid and ardent sacrifice are dependont on the unit using them, theyre good with desperation users and in conjuction with other skills that need you to fall into certain HP range to activate, reciprocal aid is much better for going down into low health, and ardent sacrifice is better to heal chip damage or for skills that have >75% health requirement, reciprocal aid is usually the superior option

Depends on the context, arena teams rarely have them because it makes the unit waste turn rallying and getting behind, on the offense you want a rally with your buffbot, Eirika and Ephraim are popular for use of rally res or def, because their weapon and skill gives a combination of +3atk and +4spd, being more efficient at buffing that any other unit, they can indeed be handy for when you need that extra boost, but most people dont run more than 1 rally in their team, as movement options are far superior

Dieck is pretty good; offensively he's pretty similar to Marcus at this point but loses to Marcus in terms of defenses, weapons and mobility, so he'll fall off eventually (especially since there's another sword-locked unit we get who is pretty ridiculous) but he's still overall helpful for this point in the game

Wade and Lot have okay bases but will fall off sooner rather than later

Shanna, the Peg, is probably one of the most important utility units in the game for quite a while, since she's the only flier we have, so expect to see a lot of her helping us out a ton and saving turns left and right

She's actually pretty different from Young Tiki in that she tanks a lot better. This increased sustainability gives her some pretty interesting utility (particularly in GHBs)
I've used her for Navarres map, she could tank the Ninja's with her +Def skill which landed her at a huge 38 neutral. From there I could move everyone in to swarm. She also proved useful for Zephiel, being able to take a mage and dish out big damage to the knights as well.
I'm personally using a Swordbreaker/Def3/Threaten Res set that allows her to shift from offense to defense in a flash. Threaten Res makes her respectable 46 attack even more dangerous, Swordbreaker lets her kill even Fury Lucina so long as Lucina isn't +Attack. Provided she has the HP Seal, but that's barely heavy investment for some big results.
I know she's not for everyone and she's certainly niche but when she works, she works very well.
