I know I see how effective she is games are WON on which team picks pharah and which team can counter her. I may try to learn her in QP but I don't like here at all or any rocket characters/weapons in video games period. What I'm having trouble with is: I feel like I cannot protect my supports that well. My shield only has 600 HP. Is winston supposed to stay near his team and protect the team, or is he supposed to jump away from his team most of the time and harass the enemy backline?

There are lots of smurfing autistic Widow mains in QP, in silver I don't think a Widow can headshot a Pharah on air. Don't try to engage from million miles away, go in to mid range and pick off supports and 200 hp heroes. Her rockets take some time to get used to but her direct hits are like 130 damage and with a Mercy damage boosting you on your ass you can one two shot most of the supports and dps. If you can't Zen is a great choice like you wanted if you can land those headshots.
