Why can't PC just be the only gaming platform, with companies making budget PCs for gaming? We'd e able to have one set of servers, no worrying about crossplay or backwards compatibility, or worrying about exclusives and remasters. Anyone else disappointed with the apparent Marvel Infinite roster leak? Only new one so far is fucking Ultron.

Somebody the other day suggested that there's room in the market for a type of team fighting game that would appeal to the Moba/Valve/Overwatch crowd for obvious reasons.

What about a 2D fighter where you control your facing like Smash, but otherwise inputs follow logically, the map is a 2D plane that wraps around itself, with midway markers that unlock about 8 seconds after a round loads in, the teams then essentially fight to get a flanking advantage on the other team to finish them off quicker. I could see this working for teams of 3. If you wanted to get up to the optimal teams of 5, maybe you could have an inner and outer ring with jump transitions like Fatal Fury, upping the amount of 'fronts' for each team to 4, with one wild player.

Fold that over a ban-system based roster with 1 character limits. Make the game fairly simple, maybe put special moves on cool downs where the damage of a combo is more determined by you getting in without using specials so you can save them for a damaging combos, and less based on actual execution (long combo could still be possible, but are essentially nerfed when you can be hit out of them by another opponent).

Yeah you had to learn a little, X-Factor and DHC but that's about it. Marvel commentary is mainly how to player is playing and hype screaming when a infinite lands. Honestly I've always thought SF in general was harder because most of the commentary likes to let the viewer fill in the blanks (character matchups/frame data/FADC/VSkill etc.) and talk about big damage or comebacks
