Ryuji and Yusuke? They're nowhere to be found. They'd probably be too stupefied by the very concept of having a girlfriend to do jack shit.

But Sojiro? Sojiro just rolls up his sleeves and gets to work like a true legend. He's going to concoct an elaborate web of lies to deceive a bunch of chicks into continuing to date you just for the hell of it. I'm not even sure how that's possible, given the sheer logistical challenge of separating each of the girls (many of whom Sojiro barely even knows) and speaking to them individually. How does he convince them not to compare the stories they hear with each other? The only explanation is that Sojiro wields some sort of voodoo magic over all women.

There's a teacher, and an investigative journalist, and a doctor? Good, Sojiro appreciates a challenge.

At the least their replacements (Valerie Arem for Naoto and Matt Mercer for Kanji) were good enough. Arem does the job fine, and Matt Mercer's pretty damn great too.

even worse is going back to persona 3 portable. Its unplayable imo. The battles are slow, tartarus is dreadful, you have to revive party members after battle, if not they go back home and you can't use them in tartatus til the next day. Because party members don't auto revive with 1hp like in p4&5, using physical skills isn't worth it most of the time. And the social links and story aren't as good as people remember.
