Armors are an extremely tough sell for me personally given how heavily reliant they are on Distant Counter to really function, and not get (completely) shit on by wizards.

If you really love using him I'd say go for it, since he's still a cool unit with fantastic voicework, art, and slick spin animations, but if you're not drowning in feathers / great units to use already I'd say hold off on 5*ing him.

1 movement is just such a crippling downside without Distant Counter to patch it up.

So how easy is it to do the Robin vs Robin quest using 3*s? Do I need to hit level 40 first? What should I bring among the freebie stuff (I haven't rolled much but I do have Kagero so wiping out the first few guys shouldn't be a problem)

You can do it at under level 40 as long as you have a way to cripple the other Robin without killing her. A blue mage in the top corner tough enough to take out the axe fighter in 1 or 2 turns should be able to deal with the other two mages while RobinF gets into position, I used Ursula with Blarblade and a Hone Cavalry buff. Dance it away afterwards and have someone(Olivia if she's your dancer, and should be for this) attack RobinF until she's in single digits. Then YOUR Robin/Navarre should be free to finish her off.

I should add that it might be a good idea to take off Knock Back if you have that on your Olivia, I didn't have to but it puts her out of range for RobinF to hit, giving the enemy one a chance to activate Defiant Res and be more annoying to take out. My RobinF was also in her mid 30s with standard stuff so she doesn't have to be at level 40 to guarantee the kill.

Is there actually even a strat to revolve around knock back given it's only for melee? Unlike Drag Back, Knock Back seems pretty damn useless.

If there's one thing Awakening gets right it's all the legacy weapons. It's fun to equip yourself with Valflame, Forseti, Naga, and Tyrfing all at once.
